Experiencia fantástica: Hola! I had decided about 5 years ago when I would travel that I would visit a different country and a new Spanish School every time. Well, the second school I visited was Spanish Experience Center and I just came back from my fifth vacation to Puerto Vallarta. I came to love PV, not only because of the feel of the town with delicious restaurants, beautiful weather and endless activities, but mostly the Spanish Experience Center. Immersion is the goal, clearly, but the teachers are caring, patient and always have a good sense of humor. I always feel welcome, from my first contact with Susana, to the teachers that remember details about me even though I only visit for a short time every year. I meet interesting classmates from all around the world and learn a lot during my one week of classes. I always choose the intensive course, which is perfect for anyone that wants to improve rapidly, but those that want to have more freedom maybe to explore the activities or are working, the regular classes are perfect for accelerated apprehension as well. I particularly like the lunch option provided by Patty- I get to eat delicious, nutritious, authentic meals with the other students and teachers- and often a mini lesson while chatting at the table. Yes, I am learning Spanish at home, but nothing is like this immersed experience a few steps away from the beach.

Many thanks to everybody at the Spanish school in Puerto Vallarta. The cities also really nice and I met other students from New Sealants, Canada, France and Canada. Perfect time! Experiencia fantástica: A terrific experience, from start to finish. The people in the office are VERY attentive and helpful, which I appreciate. Travelling to foreign countries makes me very nervous, so they helped me to feel at ease. The building is physically beautiful. There is a lot of built-in Mexican art and an open air courtyard. The school opens an hour before class and they have coffee and water available, if you want to hang out and practice or socialize, which I appreciated as a solo traveller. The classes are three hours of grammar in the morning and two hours of dialogue in the afternoon. I especially appreciated the grammer class. My teacher was Daniel. He is very patient and pays A LOT of attention to gently correcting your grammar. I was in the advanced class, which was HARD, but I felt very supported and I really enjoyed being challenged. There is an optional lunch, which I highly recomend. It is about $6.50 USD / day. Patty cooks everything from scratch. Her food is exceptional. I attended a different Spanish school (in another country) last summer and this one was hands down better. I loved every minute. Two thumbs up!

Experiencia fantástica: Habe das Glück gehabt hier einen einwöchigen Intensivkurs Spanisch machen. Exzellente Lehrer, super Organisation, extrem herzliche und freundliche Atmosphäre!!! Am Ende der Woche hatte ich ein Bewerbungsgespräch mit spanischem Inhalten und bekam auch den Job :-) Also macht sehr viel Spaß und noch viel wichtiger wirkt auch. Muchas gracias amigos por todo!

Experiencia fantástica: SEC is the best place to learn Spanish. The instructors are super nice and caring and they make the lessons fun and motivating. Plus, they arrange all sorts of special activities for their students to go around PV and practice their Spanish. We’ve taken their lessons several times over the years, when we visit PV from Canada, and always learn something new and improve our Spanish. I highly recommend Spanish Experience Center!

Experiencia fantástica: I signed up for one week of classes at the Spanish Experience Center and then signed up for more, eventually taking classes for three weeks and three days. The teachers are excellent, seamlessly integrating new students in with continuing students and drawing out the best from their students. Not only are the classes fabulous but so is the community building that happens in classes, over lunches prepared by Patty, opportunities for dinners out at a local restaurant and excursions. What a great experience! I'll be back next year.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the time of life while studying at this beautiful school in the 5 de Diciembre neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta, México. From my initial contact with the lovely Bertha, right on to my final days with the incredible teachers, Jovanny, Daniel, and Fabiola, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. (If you can, try and see Daniel's band perform at La Huerta. He and his groupmates are all very talented performers and the location is stunning.) All three of these teachers were excellent and their classes were a lot of fun. I took the intensive study course. I had three hours of grammar classes in the morning, and two hours of conversation classes in the afternoon. There are 20 minutes between the blocks of classes where you can, for a very nominal fee, buy a delicious Méxican lunch made by the talented chef, Patty, right in the school. While I was there, we did a few out of school activities that were not only enjoyable, but gave me a better understanding about Puerto Vallarta and the culture there, and provided more opportunity to practice Spanish. I stayed in an Airbnb just two blocks away for the sake of convenience. There are even beautiful rooms within the school. I highly recommend this school. And while you're there, give Doctor Dre some pets for me.

Experiencia fantástica: J’ai récemment suivi trois semaines de cours d’espagnol à cette école et j’ai adoré. On se sent bienvenue dès le premier jour ! Les enseignants sont souriants, professionnels et dynamiques. De plus, ils sont heureux de nous faire connaitre la culture mexicaine. La nourriture offerte par Paty la cuisinière est savoureuse et à prix abordable et l’école est dans un bâtiment muni de ventilateurs, d’air climatisés et d’une terrasse sur le toit. Les groupes sont petits et divers programmes sont offerts pour tous les budgets. L’école offre un souper hebdomadaire de groupe facultatif dans divers restaurants de la ville. Des excursions culturelles facultatives en dehors de la ville de fin de semaines sont offertes par maestro Jiovanni. Je vous les recommande fortement. Bref, j’ai tellement aimé cette école que j’y retourne pour 4 semaines bientôt!——I recently took three weeks of Spanish classes at this school and loved it. We feel welcome from day one! The teachers are smiling, professional and dynamic. They are also happy to introduce us to Mexican culture. The food offered by Paty the cook is tasty and affordable and the school is in a building with fans, air conditioning and a roof terrace. Small groups and various programs are offered for all budgets. The school offers a weekly optional group dinner in various restaurants throughout the city. Optional cultural excursions outside of the city are offered by by maestro Jiovanni. I highly recommend them. Finally, I loved this school so much that I’m going back for 4 weeks soon!

Experiencia fantástica: I studied in Spanish experience center for 3 weeks and I can fully recommend the school to everyone, no matter what level of knowledge you have in Spanish or where you come from. The teachers are patient and encouraging. I learned grammar, common local expressions and my vocabulary expanded in three weeks. I also learned a lot about Mexican culture and festivities. I really felt like home at the school. I hope to come back one day!

Experiencia fantástica: It was a brilliant experience for me to learn Spanish at the Spanish experience Centre. It is everything it claimed to be online. ALL of the instructors were amazing. The curriculum and the set up in the morning and the afternoon classes kept my attention and I didn’t find it too intense or overwhelming. The environment in which it was taught was endearing and professional. There was a kitchen a cook and a sufficient meal provided at a reasonable charge. We ate together with the instructors and the owner of the school who were all so lovely to be with. There were excursions and meals at restaurants (at a cost) and the administrator of the school is always accessible and responds immediately to any query whether it be online or in person. The staff have known each other for a long time and they seem like a family who looks out for each other. I feel this course is well worth the money I put towards it. I will most likely return but I would avoid September as I found the humidity oppressive. The location is good as it is near the Malecón and the ocean.

Experiencia fantástica: I initially spent 4 weeks at the Spanish Experience Center with the intensive course. I never expected my Spanish to improve so much in so little time. The way of teaching is amazing. The classes are really focused and intimate. Also, all the teachers are sp helpful and friendly and really make you feel at home. I personally loved the weekend excursion to San Sebastian. The Tequila Hacienda is top-notch and unlike anything you could find in the city. In the end, I decided to stay a few weeks longer. Would definitely recommend! :)

I got a lot of practice speaking, listening and I enjoyed my grammar lessons too. My teachers were Enrique and Martha. They were so patience and thoughtful with their instruction. Restaurant, Bars, Discos, Bootsausflüge, Schnorcheln, Surfen - alles in der Umgebung, Highlight ist die Beobachtung von aus dem Wasser springenden Walen sowie Delfinen aus nächster Nähe. Auch sind sehenswürdige Städte wie Guadalajara, Guanajuato, Tequila (Tequila-Tour!) und San Miguel de Allende in nur wenigen Stunden mit dem Bus zu erreichen. Auch nach der gefühlt 20. Rückkehr fühle ich mich in der Stadt zu jedem Zeitpunkt sicher, von den in Europa verbreiteten Räubergeschichten oder dem hochsterilisierten schlechten Ruf des Landes habe ich noch nie etwas gespürt – ganz im Gegenteil. Am Morgen Spanisch büffeln, sich am Mittag von der einzigartigen mexikanischen Küche verköstigen lassen, am Nachmittag am Strand hängen und am Abend mit Freunden auf die Pauke hauen – so lässt es sich gut leben. Im SEC lernt man eben nicht nur Spanisch, man lernt mexikanisch zu Leben – die beste Entscheidung meines Lebens!

Experiencia fantástica: I have been in Spanish class for a 2 weeks and I have 2 more. The pace at which I have been learning is incredible. The course structure is fantastic and it seamlessly transitions from one level to the next. My professor, Fabiola, is one of the best teachers I have had in my entire life. She knows the coursework like it’s part of her DNA and is incredibly perceptive as to my understanding of the lessons. She knows where I am having issues understanding the material and is so expert in getting me over the hurdle so I can comprehend and digest the lessons. She is also very fun and funny. The time flies in her classes. The Spanish Experience Center + Professora Fabiola + my hard work = success!

Experiencia fantástica: I attended the Spanish Experience Center for several months and would highly recommend it. Enrique and the other staff were all amazing. The small class sizes make learning Spanish much easier with an almost one on one tutoring experience. Road trips and local get-togethers enhance the opportunity to learn. I have hearing loss in both ears and the staff were able to accommodate my disability. I look forward to attending this school again this year and I am sure others will find their experience here to be very satisfying.

Experiencia fantástica: I attended SEC for about 4 winters up until about 4 years ago. It was part of my retirement plan to live in PV and learn spanish. Learning spanish was probably the most important thing I've ever done, and I could not have done it without SEC! The school taught me real life spanish, the culture, lifestyle, and how to be part of the community. They provide the support to build confidence to speak and interact with the community, which I never would have gotten from an app. I now live in PV year round, and travel throughout other parts of Mexico (where spanish is necessary) with confidencel It's made my life so much better, and way more fun! The staff is kind, entertaining, caring and will always look out for you. I still return to visit on occasion, and I am greeted with warmth and open arms, and we ONLY speak spanish...ah huevo!

Experiencia fantástica: I have attended 5 full weeks of school and am so impressed. From the front desk to all of the professors, the cook and even Enrique's dog - the Doctor -- everyone is amazing. So warm and welcoming. And classes are really fun! I have learned alot and plan to attend for 3 weeks again this next year. I have also started virtual classes -- 2 hours a week and I think this is really helping me retain the information between visits in the school. The building itself is very cute and cozy. Honestly... I do not have one complaint! Any and everyone who wants to learn Spanish, improve their current Spanish... or just practice -- should go HERE! HIGHLY recommend. Experiencia fantástica: If you are researching schools in PV go to SEC! The staff is incredibly caring and want each student to succeed. I spent 9 weeks here, learned a lot, had a lot of fun, did almost all the extra activities and felt like home. They celebrate everything, birthdays, public holidays, end of sessions, and more. Bertha, Martha, Jovanny, Enrique, Susanna, Patti and everyone are amazing. Having Patti's lunch everyday was great and only $5. When I am back in PV for a week, month or longer, I will always go back to SEC!

In addition, it was fun to be in class with other students of all ages. My Spanish improved markedly, and SEC definitely exceeded my expectations. Experiencia fantástica: During my one-week stay at Puerto Vallarta, I took classes for 3 hours each morning to practice my Spanish in conversation format. As a Spanish speaker, I needed to review the sometimes difficult subjunctive grammatical concept plus I needed to build up my confidence in conversation. This educational center exceeded my expectations. The Spanish Experience Center is a creative family that cares about its student community, and I am pleased to have experienced being a part of it for this short time. My teacher, Jovanny selected interesting writings and stimulating discussion topics for our conversation and connected the lessons to Mexican culture and traditions. When you converse with this teacher, you just let him take you where he leads and enjoy the ride. This team provides an exciting immersive Spanish language experience. I highly recommend it.

Experiencia fantástica: I began studying Spanish at the age of 58 years. I have studied in about 20 different schools—-a few in Argentina— but many more in Mexico. I keep coming back to SEC because it is the best school that I have found. I really appreciate all that you have done for me over the years—-I enjoyed celebrating my 84th birthday with you in January and plan to return for more classes in the fall. I hope to bring my son, a nephew, and a great nephew with me. Thank you for teaching me to speak Spanish!

Experiencia fantástica: I was initially worried about how difficult re-learning Spanish was going to be. I had 3 years of high school Spanish coursework and earned college credit 10 years prior to attending this school, but I hadn't spoken Spanish regularly in 6+ years Simply put, I was worrying way too much. I fell in love with Puerto Vallarta, the school, Patty's delicious authentic Mexican lunches, the food, and the amazing friends that I made. I went out regularly with friends from the school in the evenings and practiced my Spanish fluency in restaurants, bars, taxis, and numerous other places. During my 3 week stay, I reached an A2 level in Spanish Language competency. The classes were challenging, but you get 10 minute breaks every hour. However, I highly recommend the conversation classes if you are able to attend. These classes were wonderful for building my confidence, pronunciation and practicing my grammar that I had learned during my earlier classes. For those worried about safety, I felt very safe in the school, Puerto Vallarta and additional trips with the school. I had a small medical emergency during class, but one of the teachers (Javier) drove my husband and I to a local clinic (Medisim) where I was able to receive prompt, affordable medical care. The LGBT+ community in PV is amazing and friendly to new people. Most people in PV speak English, but I highly recommend doing your best to only speak Spanish to improve!

Experiencia fantástica: I decided to attend the Spanish Experience Center after a bit of research and seeing nothing but great reviews. I am always a bit skeptical of reviews, but honestly the extremely high level of teaching, the excellent, flexibility and care are above and beyond any of the great reviews that others have provided. And beyond that, there is an honest-to-goodness family feeling about this place. The school is owned by some of the primary teachers and there is a tangible pride in everything they do. Moreover, everybody there REALLY wants you to learn and appreciate the culture as much as español. The Thursday dinners and weekend outings are incredibly well planned, and receive rave reviews from all attendees. I actually everything so much that I decided to change my travel plans and stay another week. If not for Christmas I think I still might be down there, but for sure I will return!

Experiencia fantástica: Best Spanish instruction I have ever had! I came to Puerto Vallarta to spend five weeks in Mexico learning Apanish. I am so glad I landed on this school because it exceeded my expectations! So much so that I am changed my travel plans so that I can return for another five weeks. I work online full time and selected three hours daily of private lessons. I can confidently say I improved my Spanish in just five weeks! I had three teachers over the course of five weeks. Each brought their own individual strengths while being so helpful, kind, and patient. They will immerse you in the language and culture! Even though I had private classes I was able to interact with the other students during the weekly (optional) group dinners. It's wonderful to meet the other like minded students and to feel such a community vibe. This school is a really special place with special people. Gracias a todos y nos vemos in Enero!!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent two weeks learning with Spanish Experience Center during a recent vacation in Puerto Vallarta. I took two 50 minute classes a day 9:00a-10:50 with Sara and Jovanny, then had the rest of the day to relax on the beach. I had taken Spanish in high school and college but wanted to expand my background. This school was perfect. They gave me a placement exam before I arrived so that my lessons were tailored for my level (very very basic). I can’t recommend it enough. A very authentic experience. Make sure to take a school led trip to San Sebastián if it’s offered!

Experiencia fantástica: I studied 4 weeks (broken up, not all in a row) here in the summer of 2017 and the experience and learning the language really changed my life. It's a great school with teachers who really care and understand how to teach effectively and adapt to their students' needs. I highly recommend this school.

Experiencia fantástica: I spent a week here, 5 hours a day, in private lessons and had a great time as well as learned a lot. I came out more confident in my skills. The Center is so well set up to teach Spanish with many fun and interesting extra curricular activities that reinforce what you learn. My teachers were incredible - they have very diverse educational backgrounds and interests - and were unbelievably good at what they do. They gave me additional knowledge of Latin American cultures which is helpful when communicating in Spanish. I wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone wanting to learn how to speak Spanish.

Experiencia fantástica: I took private Spanish classes at this wonderful school for two weeks in March of 2019. What a wonderful experience! Loved the building and location, teachers, staff and fellow students. I highly recommend this school! They also offer a cooking class once a week which is super fun!

Experiencia fantástica: In the summer of 2018, together with a friend, I did a 6 week Spanish course at the Spanish Experience Center in Puerto Vallarta. My conclusion to the 6-week course is absolutely positive. This school school offers much more than I expected. These are absolutely professionally trained teachers, who ensure a maximum of learning success through precise learning strategies that are individually adapted for their students. Especially the passion of the teachers to really teach their students the language was absolutely fascinating for me. Every day I had the absolute anticipation of the lessons and in the end I made extraordinary progress. I increased my Spanish level from the end of A1 / beginning A2 to B1. This school is definitely characterized by absolute professionalism, individual learning strategies, many years of experience, precise organization, and above all the personal passion to really teach the language to the students. I can recommend the school with absolutely the best.

Experiencia positiva: The school does a good job of determining the appropriate instruction level of the students. The setting is pleasant and I enjoyed my fellow students. My instructor was professional, prepared and enthusiastic. Two weeks of class were well spent. My ability and confidence improved noticeably, and I am returning for additional weeks soon. I highly recommend the school.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent experience. The program is well constructed. The teachers and staff are all welcoming and make you want me immerse yourself in the language and the culture. I had the best 2 weeks there. I signed up for another course prior to completing my initial. The extracurricular activities were excellent as well. I especially enjoyed the "intercambio" where native Spanish speakers that were in school to learn English met with us. Thank you all for a wonderful experience. See u again soon.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to learn Spanish within Puerto Vallarta...very friendly clean accommodating instructors are well-versed in English and Spanish to help new students at all levels we were super impressed and will continue to go back ...they also offer guided trips into cultural areas like Saint Sebastian for example

Experiencia fantástica: Great teachers, good space for learning (and convenient part of town, two blocks from the beach), and very accommodating staff. I did a homestay and highly recommend it.
