Experiencia fantástica: I had Arabela as my teacher online from March-November 2025 and have only the best things to say about her. She has a very gentle, warm, and creative teaching style. On top of that, she was extremely accommodating to my schedule adapting as needed to make our lessons work in the best ways for both of us. She provided me several resources and materials for homework, came up with challenging yet creative ways to "think" in Spanish, and always gave constructive criticism. After 6 months, I found myself reading Spanish confidently, and being able to hold basic conversations with friends. Part of my learning journey involved writing short fictional stories in Spanish to expand my vocabulary. Arabela was very supportive with these and made it a fun experience to brainstorm situations within the stories and helped me incorporate day to day conversation styles you'd find in Mexico. Apart from being a very effective teacher, she's a wonderful person and has a passion for learning languages herself. I plan to restart lessons with her in 2026. If you have the opportunity to have her as a teacher, take advantage! You won't be disappointed! Valió la pena!

Experiencia fantástica: We were looking for intensive Spanish classes for the 4 weeks we were planning to spend in CDMX.  Learn Spanish in Mexico City offered the flexibility and personalized instruction that were a good fit for us.  I was fortunate to be paired with Quetzal, an amazing instructor and a wonderful person besides.  Her knowledge of Mexican history, art and culture was on display in the City Tours we went on, she had fun and innovative ways to build listening and speaking skills and her command of the grammar was formidable.  Overall, it was a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: Daniela was a fantastic teacher for my one week of intensive Spanish lessons. I booked five days of six-hour lessons, and Daniela planned the time very well and efficiently. I had specific areas of grammar that I wanted to focus on, and she created well-designed lessons. My biggest takeaway was that I left with a strong understanding of the logical behind different grammar concepts. I give my strongest recommendation to others considering private lessons.

With incisive instruction and interesting anecdotes about Mexican history sprinkled into the lessons, I would readily recommend his guidance to anyone, anywhere in their journey. He studied linguistics and can speak 5 languages, so it's not a stretch to say you're unlikely to find a more qualified teacher. He's also super patient and smoothly met me at my current level of proficiency in Spanish.

The teachers were super flexible at accommodating our shifting needs and desires and did an amazing job at meeting our mixed-level group where we were at. Quetzal is truly gifted- both rigorous and light hearted in her teachings, and for how affordable lessons are there is no reason not to learn spanish in mexico city!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent two weeks in the 4h/day city trips immersion program. Jonathan, Francisco, Quetzal and Arabela were all excellent teachers, and I particularly enjoyed the method of meeting somewhere interesting, walking and chatting, or sitting in a cafe, talking and learning. (I wouldn't survive 4h/day in a classroom!) The school communicated very well and was extremely flexible when my timing had to change due to some unforeseen circumstances. I cannot recommend this school highly enough!

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I spent 6 three hour sessions with Nancy on City trips. She was a wonderful conversation partner. She gave us a great opportunity to talk about many topics so we could practice different vocabulary. We learned a lot about the culture here in Mexico City. A couple of our favorite outings were to the markets where we tried different mole spices, fruits and more and to the University where we explored the sculpture garden and vast university campus! Nancy answered all of our practical, language and cultural questions. She is very kind and easy to converse with. This was a great experience for us during our month in Mexico City.

Experiencia fantástica: Cannot say enough good things about this great opportunity! Beginning before my trip, I had excellent communications with the academic coordinator, Eduardo. All the options were very clearly presented, and anytime I had a question, it was immediately answered. I had a fantastic week doing Spanish lessons and CityWalks with Quetzal, who is impressive as an experienced and highly educated instructor. We had such a blast! In addition to seeing some iconic parts of the city, I enjoyed lively conversations with Quetzal on just about any topic that came to mind, and the hours flew by as we chatted in cafes, or toured the city. Whether for a few hours or many (I did 20!) I could tell very soon how much it was helping with my listening and speaking. I would highly recommend this for anyone visiting CDMX who would like to improve or learn Spanish.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been studying (B1-B2) level 2-1/2 hours each day of my 10 day trip to Mexico City. Danielle has been a fantastic teacher - very patient, knowledgeable, and explains complex points very clearly. We have been meeting at a coffee shop close to my hotel (my choice to avoid traveling to the school). I appreciate the flexibility and accommodation. I will book again with Danielle & Learn Spanish on all future trips to Mexico City.

He knows how to teach language skills in ways that make the most sense and help you to really absorb the lessons. I’ve been studying Spanish for many years and I learned more in my short time with Francisco than I did in years of traditional classes. Bonus: he is a history buff and taught me a lot about the history and culture of Mexico during our “city trips” to museums and cultural locations. Experiencia fantástica: I just spent a month in Mexico City, partly to study Spanish. LSMC paired me with a wonderful tutor, Alina. She really personalized our lessons, bringing in poems, stories and even cartoons. My Spanish conversation skills improved immensely, as did my reading comprehension. In addition, I really enjoyed the readings and our conversations. Alina is both a good teacher and a wonderful person to spend time with. I cannot recommend her enough. Before deciding on LSMC, I looked at several other schools, and this was the one that allowed me to tailor the classes to suit my schedule. It turned out to be a wonderful decision.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in Mexico City for 6 weeks working there and taking Spanish classes through this program with Ita. My goal was to learn Spanish for work and I had been learning off and on for a couple years. I probably started this program at high beginner, low intermediate level. I cannot express how grateful I am for Ita and what a spectacular teacher she is. Never afraid to gently and kindly correct me, and offer me more reasons when I asked why it was incorrect. She genuinely enjoys teaching and it shows. We got to explore various cafes for our lessons which I also enjoyed and she was very flexible if we had to change time to accommodate a changing schedule. I cannot recommend Ita enough - she was patient while also pushing me forward and what's more, by the end of my 6 weeks I actually gave a presentation for our entire Mexico and Colombia office about a very technical topic (geospatial systems and remote monitoring) completely in Spanish. If that isn't a testament Ita's amazing teaching skills I don't know what is! Thank you so much!

I feel like I progressed more in those weeks than I have in the last two years of learning online. Ita was great at explaining grammar and conjugation structures in a way that was digestible and helped me to actually practice what I was learning in natural conversation. She was super patient with explaining new tenses to me. I’m in my 30s and I felt like learning a new language was going to be impossible but with Ita’s help I can actually have conversations about subjects that matter to me rather than just the basics. Additionally, I really enjoyed being able to meet up with someone in person and be in new environments around the city. It was a good way to explore the neighborhood while learning. Ita would meet me at cafes near my apartment and enjoyed trying new places with me each week. If you’re new to the city and trying to learn Spanish I would hugely recommend this program. It’s a good way to learn, meet new people, and explore. Five stars!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great time in Mexico City, especially under the tutorage of Ita. She is extremely knowledgeable. She understood my confusion (and yes, Spanish is a very confusing language to me) and she explained it so clearly. I have previously done 2 rounds of language schools in Spain and I find this 1-1 format much more fulfilling and effective. Not only did I learn the language, I learned so much more about the culture too. Ita also introduced me to some great eateries. The initial safety concern of travelling alone as a single woman was quickly abated. I felt safe walking around and even taking the public bus after Ita introduced me to the public transport system. I felt safe in Uber too.

This program caught me up to speed and more. I have had many many questions that were answered. I felt lost and overwhelmed so I decided to join this program. Teachers will usually provide topics to cover but if you have certain questions/topics that confuse you, be sure to ask, that is one of biggest benefits of having a private tutor. Overall, I felt like I had all the pieces to the puzzle, but did not know how to put the pieces together. This program/school will help you IMMENSELY get there. From before the trip started and right until the end, I felt the dedication this company has for learning and ensuring you are taken care of. My instructor was Ita and she was incredible. Every lesson was catered to my level, adjusting wherever I needed improvement in my Spanish. Furthermore, she incorporated each Spanish lesson with a cultural aspect so that I could really delve into the Mexican culture. Ita was extremely flexible with where we met, how the classes were structured, etc. Additionally she recommended lots of places to eat and went above and beyond by sending folders with restaurant recommendations, Spanish lessons from textbooks, etc. I feel that my Spanish improved quite a bit over this small course of time and that it will continue to grow due to the resources I was left with upon my departure. Experiencia fantástica: Learning Spanish with our teacher, Ita, was a fantastic experience. We were in Mexico for a short trip where we did 3 days of 2 hour lessons. Before our first lesson, we did a brief video chat so that she could assess our proficiency and find out what we wanted to focus on during our lessons. Ita made 2 hours fly by as she made our lessons engaging with course materials that she always had ready. She was receptive and provided great pointers that we could utilize to advance our Spanish. Experiencia fantástica: What a terrific program! I was looking for a way to take my Spanish to the next level, so I wanted to spend an intensive week learning while seeing some of the local sights. The school was very accommodating. After the first day, we realized that not all four of us wanted the same intense experience so we split up so that I could have my tour (mostly in Spanish) and the others could have theirs (mostly in English). I got to keep Quetzal, our guide, all to myself. She was amazing. I don’t know that much Spanish (probably an A2/ getting to B1 if that means something to you), but Quetzal was able to take me around these incredible sights and museums and give me the history and background with about 90% Spanish. She is an amazing guide, not only is she flexible and patient, she is committed. For example, when I had a wee medical issue she was right on top of it and helped me get it sorted promptly. I also met Francisco who is an absolute delight. If you want to take your Spanish to the next level, I strongly recommend this school.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent Spanish language school in Mexico City! Highly recommend for improving your Spanish speaking. With a week to spend in the city and rusty Spanish, I signed up for four hours of lessons/day for five days. The price was very reasonable for the value, and I chose the time/locations that worked best for me. I learned (and re-learned better) so much during my time with my instructor, Jonathan. He is a very skilled, natural teacher. He helped me to expand my vocabulary and finally cement some important verb conjugation rules -- all while having a lot of fun, too. Jonathan did a great job assessing my current level and taking on board what I hoped to achieve, and then customizing our time so that I could reach those goals. He made learning a true pleasure, and I left feeling very inspired to keep my language skills up. The School is also very professional and communicative. They make enrollment/payment easy and worry-free. I would not hesitate to take more classes with the School or Jonathan.

Experiencia fantástica: Francisco was totally awesome. I took a week of lessons with each day comprising a 4 hour walking tour of City highlights and 90 minutes of sit down language learning. His knowledge of both was amazing - I learnt so much. The Spanish training began with the basis of Spanish and the type of language. Very fascinating and useful in helping frame Spanish in my brain. He also fluently speaks 5 languages fluently ( and not the ones you might expect) as well as being able to speak in a perfect Irish accent. His teaching is very calm, reassuring and well paced while he has a great temperament to bring people along in their Spanish. ( his acting ability is also great). I can’t recommend Francisco highly enough. You will learn Spanish with him and have a lot of fun at the same time. Thanks so much Francisco

Experiencia fantástica: I spent a week in Mexico City, and it was great! My teacher (Ita Méndez) was super patient and encouraging throughout the whole experience. What was also really cool was that we went to multiple locations in the city like Centro Histórico and visited multiple museums. Thank you to Ita and the school for a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I had 4 two hour lessons with Quetzal. She is a great teacher because she quickly identified my difficulties and helped me understand the concepts I needed to improve my abilities. She is very knowledgeable about linguistics and language structure and can explain it in a way that is easy to understand. I highly recommend Quetzal for Spanish language learning. She also gave me good advice about what to see and do in CDMX.

She is really easy to speak with so I get great practice practicing conversation and she has mastered the art of correcting my errors while we continue the conversation. Experiencia fantástica: My Spanish lessons with Francisco were definitely a highlight of my stay in Mexico City. I took 2 hour lessons three times a week. He was a very patient and flexible teacher. He tailored the lessons to my interests. He took me to different museums and taught me about the history and culture of Mexico City. I appreciated the way he taught which was from a practical, conversational point of view. Much more interesting and easier to remember than what I learned in high school Spanish. He is also a joy to be around! Highly recommend him and this school. I will miss our lessons very much!

Lucia was an excellent teacher. She made lessons fun and made it easier to learn Spanish through a mix of structured learning and casual conversation. Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend this school to anyone who is interested in immersion classes in Spanish!!!!! I had an amazing 3 weeks with Maestro Johnathan learning to speak Spanish. His patience and knowledge are outstanding. I learned more practical Spanish in 3 weeks than I did in 2 years of high school Spanish. From this experience, not only did I gain knowledge, I gained a friend. The communication from the school prior, during, and after the lessons was outstanding. The pre-class assessment to measure my current level was great. This allowed the school to custom create lesson plans that were at my level prior to me arriving to CDMX. All of the classes were 1 on 1 and outside of a conventional classroom. Many days, we met at a local cafe, and many of the days we split the 4 hour lessons between book work and real-life situations, allowing me to interact with locals in restaurants, on the streets, and exploring the diverse historical sites of Mexico City. I look forward to spending more time in Mexico City and will, without a doubt, be taking more lessons to grow my knowledge. A huge thank you to Johnathan and Eduardo for making this experience such a memorable one.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in Mexico City for 2 weeks and during this time had 50 hours of conversational lessons with Xochitl. She was a wonderful teacher who accompanied me as we explored the city together. The program that the school arranged was extremely flexible and entirely geared to my needs. The lessons took place in my apartment, in cafes, in parks, in museums, in markets and simply walking round the beautiful area of Coyoacán where I was staying. I highly recommend both my teacher Xochitl and the Learn Spanish in Mexico City school.

Experiencia fantástica: I really had a good time with Ita and Xóchitl learning Spanish. They took me to different places in Ciudad de México. We meet at different cafés and mercados. We also went to shopping. They taught me about Mexican culture and literature. I really felt comfortable around them and it helped me to learn Spanish really fast. I could practice Spanish and we talked about very interesting topics. I tried a lot of new things, and I highly recommend this school.

Experiencia fantástica: I had never taken any Spanish courses and was an absolute beginner. I was looking to vacation in Mexico City and also take introductory courses in Spanish in the mornings. My tutor, Quetzal, created a course of study that was perfect for me: pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and various phrases to help me start communicating immediately as I travelled around the city. She also planned the second half of each lesson for different cultural/historical field trips (past to present day) with narration that really enriched my stay in Mexico City and also extended the lessons into the real world. Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were in Mexico city for 1 week, and we wanted a refresher on Spanish (we learned in school 15 years ago), and we wanted to understand the basics of how to communicate with people day-to-day in the city. Experiencia fantástica: I had a quick trip to Mexico City planned and wanted to have some flexible Spanish tutoring while I was there. I found Learn Spanish in Mexico online and told them what I was looking for. They were extremely responsive and connected me with my tutor Jonathan. Jonathan crushed it! He met me at my Airbnb which was extremely convenient because I had a tight schedule while I was there. He was on time for each session and came with a plan on what to teach me but also was flexible with the material to tailor it to what I wanted to accomplish. He 100 percent deserves a 5 start. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience practicing my Spanish with Francisco. The classes were 3hr sessions, 3 times weekly, for 4 weeks. Francisco was very flexible and creative as we conversed about various aspects of Mexican culture and history as well as other topics, including philosophy, literature, or whatever I wanted to talk about. Sometimes we would converse in the classroom and Francisco would write on the white board; other times we would do “city trips” and converse about the places we were visiting. I always decided which. My already substantial ability to speak Spanish definitely improved! Highly recommended!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I am very happy with my experience. I had Lucia as my teacher and I really felt like I made a lot of progress on my Spanish during my week in Mexico City. I liked how she assessed my level and we were able to work on exactly the areas I needed. I am a beginner level but I did know a little Spanish prior to my first lesson with Lucia. I am so glad she took the time to see where my level was at to ensure that I was learning new material. I have been to a couple Spanish schools before and this is by far my favorite one and I will be coming back soon. The lessons were enjoyable and helpful. I felt like it was a positive learning environment and I never felt pressured. The school was also super accommodating with scheduling and meeting locations which was super helpful for me.

He kept it challenging for me which I really appreciated and was very flexible with scheduling.
