WalkSpanish is a Spanish language school in Mexico City focused in total immersion. Our Spanish language courses cover all levels from beginners to intermediate and advanced. Each week we receive students from all over the world interested in learning Spanish. We teach Spanish in groups as well as privately. Our lessons take place in Polanco, Condesa and Colonia Roma. Walk Spanish used a methodology to learn and discover Mexico City at the same time that students study the Spainish language.

Experiencia fantástica: The concept of this school is amazing: you meet in different Cafés every morning for some lessons and exercises. Afterwards you walk around or go to the zoo to use the language even more. Our teacher Emir was super engaged, motivated, very knowledgeable and made sure we really learned something. Die to the small groups everyone could and should engage in exercises so that you actually practice Spanish. I would do it again especially with Emir!

Experiencia fantástica: I took group classes with Aline for two weeks. What a fantastic teacher she was!!! I seriously don’t think I could have had a better teacher during my stay here. She was incredible at keeping the group together during the walking sessions, and had many games to keep us engaged. I would highly recommend taking this class if you intend to brush up on your Spanish while learning about various cultural tenets of CDMX.

Experiencia fantástica: I enjoyed the two weeks of classes I took. I’m an improving beginner. It was far more interactive and involved than a classroom! Monica was a great teacher. Making friends with the other students was a plus too.

Experiencia fantástica: I had 10 hours of private classes with Vanessa and I couldn’t have had a kinder and more supportive teacher. She asked me ahead of time what my level was and designed me a unique curriculum. She helped me build my confidence in a super short period of time. I would without a doubt take lessons with her again if I come back to Mexico City.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing 2 weeks at Walk Spanish school. My maestra was Diana and she did an excellent job teaching us as well as being a tour guide for all our adventures around the city. I highly recommend this school and will be looking for models like it when I travel and take more classes in Spanish. The combination of learning and touring the city made the class fun as well as educational.

Experiencia fantástica: I just finished 2 weeks with Walk Spanish in CDMX. I had two great teachers, Diana for an A2.5 class and Adri for private lessons afterwards. My understanding and usage of Spanish advanced...and made me realize how much I had to learn. I really appreciate the various teaching methods used by the instructors. Adri, in particular, was able to match her methods to the way I learn. I'm glad I spent the two weeks with Walk Spanish. I found the coffee shops to sometimes be cold and drafty making it challenging to hear and concentrate. Overall, I would recommend Walk Spanish for students looking to expand their language learning and explore the city.

Experiencia fantástica: I was so fortunate to have had Monica as our teacher. She was warm and always encouraging and her lessons were clear, well organized and fun. She is a gifted teacher. She also had a wonderful way of bringing our group together. We were all sad to see the week end. I have recommended Walk Spanish and Monica in particular to several people and I am hoping to return next year for a longer time. Your concept of meeting in various parts of the city makes the learning process so much richer and more interesting. Kudos to the program and 10 stars for Monica!

Experiencia positiva: The teaching aspect I give 5 stars! I was A1 & moved to A2 with an incredibly helpful, knowledgeable & fun teacher - Monica! I studied with her for 3 weeks & was very sad to leave. The let down was the communication & organisation of the company leaders. As soon as they got payment from me, they were really slack. The lack of responses & not connecting me with private tutoring (even though requested multiple times over 8 weeks) impacted my experience & was a big let down. I came all the way from Australia, so it was really disappointing. The class sizes were too big to get the best learning - again organisation, not teacher. This was an overall concern from all the students in my classes.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed my 3 weeks of Walk Spanish classes as a beginner. So long as you’re clear on what to expect, it’s a great experience. Classes start in a cafe where you spend the first 2/2.5 hours. As a coffee and brunch enthusiast, I found this in itself a great way to see different CDMX neighbourhoods and cute cafes I probably wouldn’t have found otherwise. You then spend the last couple of hours out and about, sometimes museums, galleries, markets etc. These are pretty flexible and your teacher will ask for suggestions if there are particular things you want to see. It’s a fairly unstructured teaching style, but I enjoyed getting to know the basics and getting the chance to test out my conversational phrases in public. If you’re expecting usual classroom/structured learning then this may not suitable. If on the other hand you’re expecting to be walking around on a “tour” the whole time, you may be disappointed. Recommend asking the school for more info if you’re unsure, but I found the teachers super sweet and made some fantastic friends!

Experiencia fantástica: My spouse and I took an A2 level Spanish class with Mónica this last week. We had a great time learning more Spanish and seeing the city! Would recommend for anyone who’s interested in learning. Mónica was open to everyone’s questions and the class size was small. My Aunty and Uncle also took an A1 class since they had a lot less experience with Spanish and they had a great time too! I’d go again the next time we go to Mexico City.

Experiencia fantástica: A perfect opportunity to combine language learning with tourism, culture, and food. We were lucky to have Tess and Aline as our teachers. They couldn’t have been more prepared or capable. Bonus: we now have new friends from Australia, Holland, England and Switzerland.

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic Spanish school in CDMX! The balance between structured grammar lessons and learning while exploring the city was perfect. Aline was my teacher and she is an outstanding one — patient, motivating, and incredibly intuitive about what her students need. Even when I was exhausted, she helped me push through. I’m very grateful for this experience!

Experiencia fantástica: The immersion group course A1 with Monica was terrific. We learned a lot and experienced many new spots in CDMX. Monica is a patient teacher who made learning Spanish fun!! My additional private tutors Adri and Lore are also excellent teachers who patiently and effectively helped me further refine my learning during these sessions. A great experience all around. Thanks!!

Experiencia fantástica: For my one week visit to Mexico City (I wish it had been longer!) WalkSpanish was perfect for me. Every day we met at a different coffee shop for a couple hours, working on different grammar points. Then the class visited some amazing spot - Museo Soumaya, Coyoacan, are just two examples - where our teacher, Aline, continued our lesson in these very authentic locales. Aline did a great job explaining aspects of Mexican history, local legends, how to take the subway etc., and engaging us in using the language. If you want a more formal/traditional Spanish class, this might not be for you, but if you appreciate learning about Mexico City and learning Spanish at the same time, I recommend WalkSpanish!

Experiencia positiva: I had a bit of a mixed experience. I booked for 5 days of lessons. On the website, it says you meet at a specific Starbucks but I messaged a few days before to check that was the right location. I was told I’d receive a message at the weekend to confirm the meeting point which I did but not until about 5pm the day before lessons started. I also didn’t receive any info about what we’d be studying specifically which would’ve been helpful to help me prepare. I didn’t ask for that though. The first couple of days of lessons were really good. The majority of the time was focused on grammar, conversations and different exercises which I really enjoyed and I found helpful - although on the second day, we did spend a fair bit of time waiting around and the lesson started about 20 minutes late. I missed the Weds because I was unwell. On the Thursday, the meeting point was unclear and the lesson started about 30 minutes late. We also spent a fair bit of time getting into a museum and looking around. I understand that’s the concept behind Walk Spanish but it felt like a lot of time was wasted getting into the museum and walking around it so the proportion of learning v not learning didn’t feel quite right. I decided not to attend the final day because it was in a neighbourhood that would take an hour to get to from Condesa (which is where the website said lessons would take place) and our teacher indicated we’d be mainly having conversations and no other lesson/learning content which isn’t what I signed up for. Overall, I did learn a lot the first couple of days, it was a fun, sociable experience and I really liked all the people in my group and my teacher, who was friendly and approachable. But I think time was wasted with either starting late or waiting around. I also had to ask for info to be repeated in English which didn’t happen unless requested. I know I went to learn Spanish but as an A2 level student, I didn’t understand everything so I think repeating instructions in English would be helpful. I’m glad I did it because as I say, I did get something out of it but not sure I’d do it again.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a very nice week studying Spanish in CDMX with Walk Spanish. I took the A1 class with Monica. Monica was a very good and fun teacher, who not only helped us to learn the language but showed us many nice places in the city. The atmosphere is very informal and you will feel at home in the class in no time!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience! Loved my teacher Monica. She was so helpful and kind. Went over stuff multiple times if there was any confusion. Only complaint I have is with upper management, could’ve been slightly more organized. But other than that program was awesome and would definitely do it again.

Experiencia fantástica: I had the great pleasure of spending two weeks with Walk Spanish. My first week and one to one lessons for two weeks (B1) were with the inspirational Emir. One of those teachers who brings giant amounts of energy and personal commitment to each and every class and each and every class member. I even (started) to get the hang of the subjuntivo! For the second week my Maestra was Tess whose patience, clarity and kindness were exemplary. Her approach is committed and very impactful. Under her calm tutelage I managed a sentence with both future and subjuntivo!! The concept of Walk Spanish is a great model. Meeting in a cafe followed by a walk to a park, wander around a market or visit a museum. Together providing real life opportunities to learn about Mexican culture and engage. For me it also creates stronger bonds between disparate students than the traditional classroom environment. Communication can be a bit touch and go in advance.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great time learning Spanish here with Monica! She was really great and helpful in her teaching style. I wish I would have had more time to do more than one week.

Experiencia fantástica: I did one week at level B1 with Tess. As a retired teacher I notice methods, pacing, breadth of knowledge, student engagement, etc. She was excellent in all of these. During the week we worked consistently on the present subjunctive and I made significant progress on this concept which is not intuitive for English speakers. I absolutely enjoyed the lessons in cafes, parks, museums, etc. Even though I am old enough to be the grandparent of some of the students, I was welcomed and included. All in all, this was a great experience and a fun way to learn Spanish and discover CDMX.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed my time in Mexico City and Walk Spanish. I'm a novice Spanish speaker but my teacher Diana made me feel at ease. It was a nice blend of class and cultural experiences. I especially enjoyed the museum visits. I have recommended Walk Spanish to my friends.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with walk Spanish Mexico City was nothing but tremendous, I had an amazing time and learned so much within just a week my teacher was amazing! Monica made it interesting and kept the whole class intrigued, she knew what she was teaching every question we had as a class was explained to were not just 1 person understood but all of us understood, it was 5 of us total in the class and she made sure everyone was learning, I would recommend Monica every day of the week, she was the nicest person you could ask for, we went to amazing places in Mexico City for class, it wasn’t a classroom you were actually getting real world experience, when I come back I’m going to be requesting her again! My Spanish level was A1 and my teacher was Monica!! She was so amazing super sweet and understanding!

Experiencia fantástica: Best experience possible for language immersion in CDMX. I am A2 level, and had group classes with Tess who was extremely helpful and supportive for everyone’s needs and abilities. She was also very knowledgeable on topics during the tours. I also had did the hour one on one lessons after group classes each day with Mónica who was very patient with me and spent a great amount of time ensuring that I was understanding topics and helped me get a good grasp on some of my tenses/conjugations which I had been struggling with previously. Overall WalkSpanish is definitely a must if you’re looking to enjoy the city whilst trying to improve your Spanish! Thank You to the WalkSpanish Team

Experiencia fantástica: I can't recommend the school and its courses enough. I did 2 weeks course (A1) with teacher Mónica and I really enjoyed it. Her style of teaching suits me perfectly. We did lot of grammar which she is great at to explain. Following with lots of talking practice. Mónica is a wonderful teacher. The classes were in different places every day and you've got a chance to see different neighbourhoods of CDMX.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed my Spanish classes with Vanessa. Each class was different and she always came with a new, interesting topic that made the lessons fun and engaging. She clearly put thought into what I might be interested in, which made our conversations feel natural and enjoyable. Vanessa is very friendly and supportive, and she really encouraged me to study and speak. I always looked forward to our classes. Highly recommended!

Experiencia positiva: Diana was a good and encouraging teacher. Philippa and I learned a lot. Daily travel was quite demanding. The main problem was noise and music in the café venues. This was hard for those with some hearing loss. It was also quite cold and draughty in some venues. I would have liked to carry on with more lessons.

Experiencia fantástica: We did two weeks with WalkSpanish whilst touring Mexico and our teacher, Diana, was fantastic. She’s great at explaining grammar, but also aspects of Mexican culture you wouldn’t get to know as a regular tourist. She’s a very kind, warm, and patient person with a great sense of humour. If you’re looking for a laid back opportunity to practice your Spanish whilst exploring the city and meeting others, this school is a great choice.

Experiencia fantástica: I had two weeks of group and private classes with the wonderful Lorena! I feel like it was a good mix of learning, exploring different parts of the city, and just fun getting to know other people in the group. Lorena was a kind and patient teacher, and also created a comfortable environment where we all felt comfortable speaking Spanish to each other as best as we could. I found the mix of conversation and also learning/re-learning basics to be very productive - and the private lessons were especially helpful to ask more personal questions and tailor the class to where I needed help - but also it was an opportunity to chit chat with Lorena in Spanish - which was a pretty cool improvement for me considering I previously only had basic grammar, vocabulary and phrases. I wish I could have continued longer. Would definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a wonderful three-week language learning experience with WalkSpanish. During my time, I studied with two kind, knowledgeable, encouraging teachers (Diana and Lidia) and took 2-hour private lessons with Diana each day to accelerate my language acquisition. The WalkSpanish model is an extremely fun and engaging way to learn Spanish and Mexico City culture. Would wholeheartedly recommend and am looking forward to enrolling again whenever I’m back in cdmx.

Experiencia fantástica: I am delighted to write this review for my Spanish teacher, Vanessa, whose private classes have been an absolute pleasure to attend. She is truly one of the kindest educators I have ever met. From the very first lesson, she created a welcoming and supportive environment, making it easy for me to feel comfortable practising a new language. Her patience and understanding stand out in every session. No matter how many questions I have or how often I need clarification, she always responds with encouragement and a warm smile. This positive attitude has helped boost my confidence and made learning Spanish an enjoyable experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I am finishing up my week of lessons with Aline and Diana at Walk Spanish. It was just a great experience with intelligent and thoughtful teachers. I highly recommend the class to anyone wishing to learn or improve their Spanish. Excellent teachers! The has been a week filled with intentional learning where instruction is intertwined with fun and informative visits to places in Mexico City. I took the regular class with Aline and private lessons with Diana. As I am still struggling with my Spanish I really appreciated the kind and knowledgeable encouragement! I will return to Mexico City and will certainly be taking additional classes . Both women were wonderful. I also enjoyed the mix of students . It was a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I studied Spanish at WalkSpanish for 5 weeks in Mexico City and had the best time! I first had 3 weeks of group classes, where I met a lot of great people to explore the city with and upgraded my Duolingo Spanish to a level where I can do basic conversations. I enjoyed it so much I also had 2 weeks of private classes, during which I was able to practice more speaking and target other areas which I want to focus on. I was able to be friends with my teacher Diana Magali, who is extremely passionate about the Spanish language, and was able explain complicated subject matters in a very understandable way while educating us on Spanish and Mexican culture while we learn. Couldn’t be happier about my time here. 10/10 would recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I've booked several weeks of private classes with walk Spanish, and have been enjoying them immensely. Diana is very talented at explaining grammar concepts and details, and often explaining the reasons behind the rules, as well as a great conversational which makes practicing speaking very fun. She also has great recommendations for where to go on the city. I highly recommend taking classes with walk Spanish (and ask for Diana!), it's a great way to learn Spanish as well as deepen your understanding of cdmx while visiting!

Experiencia fantástica: POSITIVE UPDATE The owner contacted me of his own accord today. He was really seemed to care about my experience. I reinforced that the teachers were excellent and I had no problem with them. My issue was only with organisation and communication. He was very understanding and described how he would improve how the school was run. This is great student service and better than other schools I have attended. As a consequence, the school deserves 5 stars. My two teachers, Tess and Aline were great. They had a lot of patience and were caring and had interesting activities to do. Group size each week was very manageable; 4 to 8 people of various ages, nationalities, etc The school itself is somewhat disorganised, and it's hard to know, who's who in the zoo and what you would do if there was a problem. Visiting different locations each day was interesting and, when the locations were at museums or historical sites, very educational both for Spanish acquisition and general knowledge. When the meetings were at markets or parks. It was too easy to slip back into English when talking to your fellow students. Another issue for some students was that because there is no actual school building. It is hard to meet people who are not in your group, not really a problem for my four weeks because my group was a lot of fun, but, if you had a dud group, it would be hard to locate other people to hang out with after class. It certainly is the place for people who don't want a more formal and structured setting, Progress may be a bit slower, but the novelty and more relaxed approach balances it all out.

Experiencia fantástica: I recently did 2 weeks of group classes and 2 hours a day of private lessons (the Tessa, who is an amazing teacher!) and could not be more pleased with how things went. I'm in the mid-intermediate level and found this format to be very helpful as I'm able to listen and read at a B2 level but speaking is far more challenging. I had a lot of opportunity to speak and in 2 weeks made a lot of progress. Pro-tip: ubers in CDMX are basically a free spanish lesson :)

Experiencia fantástica: I did a week of Spanish lessons (A1 beginner) and private lessons with Mónica who was great. She brought real energy to the classes and answered all our questions with great patience. She is a very good teacher and I have come away with a good basis to start my Spanish language learning journey. The only negative point was the communication from the Walk Spanish office could have been better prior to me starting my lessons. But overall, I would still recommend them.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I just participated in a week long class with Tess as our teacher and it was great. Every morning we met in a different cafe, learned a bit, practiced together using new phrases and then visited local attractions to further expand our use and understanding of the day's lesson. Tess was a great teacher: patient, clear and encouraging. We enjoyed meeting our fellow classmates and everyone was very supportive and positive. We both felt we learned a lot in the week - and have a lot more to learn!!I highly recommend this school, and especially Tess.

I’ve been studying Spanish through night classes online in Canada for the past year. One week here and I feel like I’ve progressed significantly in my listening and speaking skills. Our class teacher, Lidia, was absolutely fantastic as was our group of eight students from Europe, China, and North America. Lidia kept each student engaged and made the learning fun and active. I also signed up for the one hour daily private sessions this week. Tess was my teacher for them and was equally excellent. These sessions with her gave me the opportunity to focus on specific areas that I needed to work on. Through these classes, I not only advanced my Spanish, but I learned so much more about the Mexican people and their culture! I highly recommend Walk Spanish if you want an exceptional immersion experience and the opportunity to explore Mexico City.

Experiencia fantástica: The best value for your time and money? This place. I've been to Mexico City twice in the past two years, and have dropped in for one week of classes both times. Both times I have felt my Spanish skills get a drastic boost! I have just finished a week long class with Lidia, who is FANTASTIC. We worked on a form of past tense this week, brushed up on some basics, and learned some colloquial expressions as well. You also get to visit different parts of the city, and - bonus - learn a little history from a local. If you're on the fence about this class get off the fence and sign up!

Experiencia fantástica: I would highly recommend Walk Spanish! My partner and I took 5 weeks of classes and learned so much. Our teacher Aline was great. She helped us grow as Spanish speakers and taught us about Mexican history and life in Mexico today. I loved the structure of the classes and I got so much more out of the museums we visited together than those I went to on my own. The Walk Spanish administration can be a bit frustrating to work with, but once you arrive and you’re interacting directly with your teacher it’s great. I would not rely on Walk Spanish for housing— if you want a host family experience, we had great success with Homestay.com. Overall this is an amazing way to learn and get to know a new place. The more weeks you can take classes with Walk Spanish the better!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing teachers employed by a moderately disfunctional organization. Aline was an EXCELLENT teacher. I entered WalkSpanish as an early A2 speaker and feel that I progressed quite a bit during my 5 weeks in class. The classes were interesting and varied significantly throughout our time. We almost never returned to the same place twice and got to visit some really special places (Chapultepec Castillo, Bellas Artes, etc.) for free in class. Our only major issue was the WalkSpanish organization failing to provide us a host family that they had already committed to before we arrived. They were very bad communicators when it came to housing and we were left scrambling to find housing after our homestay with WalkSpanish fell through two days before we were supposed to move in. If you do decide to do a homestay through WalkSpanish, make sure to get the contact info of your host before you arrive in CDMX and confirm directly with them. I would honestly recommend finding housing outside of WalkSpanish. We used homestay.com which had many good options and helped us avoid staying in AirBnB. Still 5 stars because the classes were so great!

Experiencia fantástica: Walk Spanish is incredible! The teachers are warm, patient, and truly invested in your progress. I especially recommend Fernanda for kids she’s fantastic with little learners

Experiencia fantástica: Walk Spanish gave me such a sense of home and belonging during my eight weeks in CDMX. I left with drastically improved Spanish and friends from around the world. The teachers are what truly make this school so incredible. I had the privilege of being taught by Montse, Emir, Lorena, Aline, and Mónica during my two months at walk Spanish. All of these teachers have the ability to assess your Spanish level and teach in a way specifically curated for your needs, even in group settings. I began classes in level A1 and progressed to a B2 class through group and private lessons each day. Not only can these teachers create their own lesson plans and manage to keep an entire group engaged for 4 hours straight, but their genuine kindness and excitement to be there is palpable. These teachers love their jobs and go out of their way to facilitate friendships and help their students. For my first month I stayed in a home stay with Bertha, who’s generosity and hospitality made me feel very welcome and cared for. My only critique of this school is the organization of the administration. It was difficult to arrange the home stay and the communication before arrival was minimal. Overall, the teachers make this school what it is and I am deeply grateful for all they taught me and our friendships!

Experiencia fantástica: I took two weeks of classes with Lidia (A2 level). Her lessons were very well-structured, the classes were fun and engaging and helped me feel more comfortable having conversations in Spanish. Would recommend to any visitors wanting to improve their Spanish and learn more about Mexico!

Experiencia fantástica: The school provides a great introduction to Mexico City and helps beginner Spanish speakers, like myself, develop friendships as soon as you arrive. Monica and Diana are fantastic teachers who have both helped me progress in the Spanish language.

Experiencia fantástica: Oh. my. goodness. What an experience. I went to CDMX for 3 weeks specifically to improve my Spanish and couldn’t have asked for a better group of caring, empathetic, wonderful teachers, like Montse and Diana. Montse even perfectly navigated a medical emergency within our group!!! They help tailor the experience to every student as much as possible and really focus on improving functional spanish. The admin isn’t very involved and isn’t very organized (I arrived in Mexico with a promise of a home-stay but never got it, asked for a diploma, he agreed, but I never received it), but the teachers run a very smooth ship. ❤️

Experiencia fantástica: I took Spanish lessons with Tessa for 8 weeks. She is a wonderful teacher who is kind, patient, and dedicated. I progressed a lot with Tessa — from complete beginner to A2. The class is also a great introduction to Spanish and in Mexico City in general. While the teachers are wonderful, the school’s administration can be a bit unorganised and slow to reply. Unfortunately the school did not provide me with a Spanish book, even though the website states that students who sign up for 4 weeks or more will receive one. There is also not a clear administration focal point with a name, so it can be a bit confusing to get in contact with the appropriate person.

Experiencia fantástica: I attended Walk Spanish in 2024 and to come back to Mexico City a year later for the F1 and meet up with my Spanish tutor Mónica was such a pleasure! It was great to see all the groups in the park learning Spanish, brought back some great memories. Something you don’t get in a classroom, lasting connections! One of my closest friends back in London is someone I met on this course last year. I’m so grateful for this company and what they do.. it’s different, it’s special. Muchas Gracias!

Experiencia fantástica: My brother-in-law discovered Walk Spanish by chance, and after seeing so many positive reviews, my husband, brother-in-law, and I decided to give it a try. The experience exceeded every expectation! My teacher, Tess, was absolutely wonderful - patient, encouraging, and skilled at helping us learn and practice Spanish in real-world settings. Each day began with a lesson at a local coffee shop in a different part of the city, followed by visits to nearby points of interest. Thanks to this format, I discovered places I might never have seen otherwise, like the murals at UNAM and the Museum of Modern Art. It was the perfect blend of language learning and cultural exploration. I was also impressed by how thoughtfully they organized the classes - although the three of us were placed in different groups based on our language levels, the school coordinated things so we could attend in the same area and meet up afterward for lunch. Such a considerate touch! Overall, this was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend Walk Spanish to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in both the language and the culture of Mexico City, guided by passionate, knowledgeable instructors like Tess.

Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I took these classes to improve our Spanish while travelling and the experience was fantastic. Our teacher (Monica) was brilliant! She was incredibly helpful and created a really fun and engaging environment for our group to learn in. Each class was in a different location throughout the city so we got to explore some different parts of Mexico city as well. I would absolutely recommend these classes, and if you do take them hopefully you are lucky enough to get Monica as your teacher.

Experiencia fantástica: Lorena was a fantastic teacher. The vibe was lovely, friendly, relaxed, but I learnt a lot. We visited some great museums and galleries during the week. Highly recommend, and would come back and do again. Thanks very much!

Experiencia fantástica: Updating an earlier review I left before completing my private tutoring: We had an issue with the accommodation before starting classes, and the school was extremely responsive in helping us resolve it. They worked with us to find a solution we felt good about, and we really appreciated their flexibility and customer service throughout the process. My tutor, Emir, was fantastic...very open, easy to talk to, and great at explaining the topics I was interested in. My sister’s tutor, Vanessa, was also really cool. I did not take tutoring sessions with her, but we interacted quite a bit, and I would pick both her or Emir in the future. Both of them made us feel supported from day one, and they were completely open to what we felt like doing day-to-day as our energy and interests shifted. Personally, I am looking forward to continuing with Walk Spanish in the future. If you are considering them, I cannot recommend their program enough. I feel like my level and confidence increased during my two weeks there (totally subjective).

Experiencia fantástica: I did 2 weeks of beginner Spanish (A1) with Mónica and had so much fun! As a child I didn't like Spanish class but this was quite enjoyable. Before class I was really struggling with day to day conversations, but I quickly improved and I observed a change in the people I was speaking Spanish with - before they seemed annoyed and frustrated, now they smile warmly at me. Definitely worth the money!

Dylan Clendenin Publicada en Google 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: I absolutely enjoyed my one week with Walk Spanish, I joined in a A2 level (beginner/intermediate) and only one week later I have seen noticeable improvement. My teacher Mónica created the perfect safe and fun environment for us to practice and push ourselves to learn Spanish. We were introduced to Spanish grammar and how to apply it in every day conversation. Mónica is an incredible teacher and person and I will remember this experience for ever. I distinctly remember being nervous to make mistakes the first day but Mónica quickly made us feel comfortable. I advise anyone taking this language course to apply themselves fully not just in the classes but in the time after class is over as well. The other students you'll meet will most likely be interesting people with similar interests but you must try to avoid the temptation to hang out and speak English because that won't help you practice and internalize the lessons in the best way.

Experiencia fantástica: I took 3 weeks of classes at Walk Spanish this past July and it was a great experience. Classes were very interactive and our teacher Lorena was excellent at adapting the class to our needs and interests each day. I felt both challenged and supported. I enjoyed our outings and got to discover parts of the city that I would not have found on my own.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience with Tess and learned so much in four weeks of a beginner level course. We went to many different areas of CDMX with amazing parks, cafes and museums, so in addition to the language instruction, I also learned about culture and history. Be prepared to walk a bit, and also to plan ahead timewise because traffic in this city is pretty heavy in the mornings. They send meeting locations at the beginning of each week but it's a different place every day. 5 stars, definitely recommend.

Steven Ouyang Publicada en Google 7 months ago

Experiencia fantástica: Monica is a great teacher. She teaches with patience and teaches in a flexible manner. I had great fun in her class. I would give her five stars for her professionalism. For those just want to travel and experience Mexico city, this would be a nice option. Anyhow, for those want to dedicate solely to the language itself, i recommend pick the other options on the website those are focusing more on the language aspect rather than just the experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t recommend the school and our teacher, Tess, enough. We met in a coffee shop in a different part of town from 9am until around 11.30am each morning before going to an interesting site in that locality to put what we learnt into practice until 1pm. A really great way to teach a new language, even as a complete beginner. 10/10.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Mexico City from Chicago, Illinois for my birthday with my family for nine days. I signed up for the 1 week Walk Spanish Mexico City class and it was wonderful. I learned so much from the classroom and the city tours. Diana Magali has a very deep knowledge of Spanish and she teaches from a very logical point of view. She helps you to understand the difficult part of Spanish. I will be back and I will take the two or three week class.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve just finished my first week with Walk Spanish, and I would recommend them highly. The teaching staff and central administer are of very high quality and I have learnt so much! I have studied at language schools in other countries and this is definitely the best experience that I’ve had. My group teacher Diana and private tutor Aline have both been excellent and coordinated incredibly well between each other to give me a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: Had such a great two weeks doing group lessons here! Teresa and Lidia were both great teachers - and I learnt so much, and had fun along the way. I also did a week of private lessons - for the price I'd do more group lessons instead, but depends on what you're looking for.

Experiencia fantástica: I took classes with Walk Spanish for four weeks and each instructor I had was wonderful - Diana, Tessa, and Lidia. I really appreciated the effort the teachers put into their lessons and tailoring the activities to the interests of the group. I became much more comfortable speaking Spanish, especially with Mexico-specific phrases and words that I picked up from my teachers. They also love sharing their culture from history and museums, to food and markets. This was such an engaging and fun way to learn the language, and I highly recommend it.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an awesome experience with Walk Spanish and our teacher, Lidia. I hope to come back and do it again and again. It was so helpful to learn in person from a native speaker who was also super patient, friendly, and fun. If you are thinking about learning Spanish in CDMX, I can't recommend this more.

Experiencia fantástica: I was lucky enough to take two weeks ok Walk Spanish, and had two incredible teachers. I had Tess for the first week and Lidia for the second week. Both were exceptional teachers and helped me learn grammar and also Mexican culture/history. They both are really invested in seeing their students improve at Spanish, and are incredibly knowledgeable both about Spanish language nd also history. For example, Lidia gave us a great tour of the Palacio de Bellas Artes and Tess gave us a great tour of the Guillermo Tovar House. Walk Spanish is a great way to make the most of your time in Mexico City. I couldn't recommend it more. It's a great way to see the city, learn Spanish, and meet cool people.

Experiencia fantástica: Walk Spanish was an incredible way to explore Mexico City and practice/polish my Spanish. I have done other Spanish programs that are classroom-based, but this was far better and more memorable. Diana was my instructor and did an incredible job keeping the classes fun, interesting, and productive. Thank you Diana and Walk Spanish!

Experiencia fantástica: This was a great course, and after one week I am speaking Spanish with noticeably more confidence. There's nothing worse than an awkward language class where noone wants to speak - my experience with Lorena at Walk Spanish was the opposite of that! Very friendly group and teachers that made us feel comfortable and encouraged lots of conversation. A good mix of grammar/technical stuff and discussion. In the afternoons we went to a different place each day - the zoo, botanical garden, parks etc and applied what we had learned that day. Being on my own in Mexico City, this course also gave me a a great introduction to the city. It meant I had people to socialise with and even go out in the evenings.

Experiencia positiva: I have two separate ratings for Walk Spanish. 5/5 for Francelia (the private 1-1 online teacher) I was paired with Francelia and my experience with her has been awesome. My Spanish background comes from high school classes, a few months living in Argentina, and currently through resources such as Duolingo. Out of all these teachers and resources, Francelia is probably my favorite teacher so far. Not only is she patient and makes classes fun, but she is really good at explaining tricky grammar concepts. For example, reflexive verbs finally make sense to me now after years of struggling with the topic. After 2.5 weeks of lessons with her, I looked at the lyrics of Recuérdame from Coco and for the first time, actually understood what I was reading grammatically. I would highly recommend Francelia to my fellow Spanish learners and would request her if you go through Walk Spanish. 3/5 for Admin (or whoever is responding on the WhatsApp Platform) The communication with Walk Spanish was slow and a bit disorganized. Originally, I signed up for 2 weeks of group classes and requested housing with a host family about a week before my start date. I quickly received info on payment and the placement test, but my housing request was completely ignored until I followed up the following Tuesday. Even then, it took over a day to get any updates, and only after I followed up again on Wednesday morning. This was frustrating, especially since I was supposed to start the upcoming Monday and needed to finalize plans. Due to a last-minute change, I could not stay in CDMX and asked if I could switch to online private lessons. I appreciated their flexibility with the change. However, I was told they would check if there were available teachers, but I did not hear back that day. Only after I mentioned that I would request a chargeback did I get a quick response. Overall, the administrative side really needs to be more responsive and proactive.

Experiencia fantástica: I have used Walk Spanish twice. It’s a great way to get immersion in an easy to digest way. I like this system because there are classes every week and you can hop on/hop off at your convenience. I recommend both teachers I’ve had: Emir and Diana. Both are excellent at explaining (enough but not too much) and they are both very nice and enjoyable people. Highly recommended - this class and these instructors.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a great experience learning Spanish with Walk Spanish. Took the group class + 5 hours of private class a week. Had Tess as my teacher for both weeks and she was great. She was very engaging and explained concepts very well. Loved that we spoke Spanish during the classes. I also really liked that we explored different cafes, neighborhoods and museums/markets during the classes! Also stayed with Bertha (host family) through walk Spanish and she was great!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent two weeks in Mexico City, learning Spanish under the guidance of Walk Spanish’ excellent teacher Lydia. The weeks of private courses elevated my Spanish from A2/B1 to B2. Lydia was punctual, highly intelligent and an outstanding educator who was able to asses my needs, make a plan and teach me in a fun way. I highly recommend Walk Spanish, especially private classes with Lydia if she’s available.

Experiencia fantástica: I had such a great experience for 2 weeks at walk spanish! My teacher was mainly Lorena (though I did spend some brief time with Monica and Emir, who were both lovely). The teachers are super nice and patient and will help you with your Spanish without making you feel judged. I also really like that we meet in different parts of the city and go to museums or parks after so you also get to know the city instead of only spending time in a classroom. I think it's a great experience for anyone going to CDMX who wants to make friends, learn Spanish, and explore the city. Highly recommend! WILL MISS YOU LORENA <3

Experiencia fantástica: I took both group and private classes in August 2025 with Walk Spanish. The teachers were patient and knowledgeable about the finer points of the Spanish language as well as Mexican-specific slang. I loved how we were simultaneously exploring the city while learning the language. Holding classes at local cafes makes it feel like an easy and casual process as opposed to a classroom environment. It was fun to meet like minded folks from all over the world with which to share the experience. I'd take classes with them again without hesitation!

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing time at Walk Spanish School!! My Spanish improved a lot, & I got to explore the city while learning. My teacher was Lidia & she was the best. We visited places like Chapultepec Castle and the Museum of Anthropology, and it was SO helpful to have Lidia to guide me through those destinations while also improving my spanish :) Thank you, Lidia & Walk Spanish School! Nos vemos pronto <3

Experiencia fantástica: I did one week of classes with Walk Spanish and loved it! The classes were fun and relaxed and we visited lots of interesting places, including markets and the library. Diana was a patient and engaging teacher and I feel like I improved my Spanish and learned a lot about Mexican culture even in just one week. Would definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I had a lovely experience in a two-week course with Walk Spanish. The concept, where you meet in a cafe in the morning, and then walk to visit a nearby destination, is stimulating and well-executed. The teachers pack handheld whiteboards which are just big enough to be useful. If, like myself, you are new to Mexico City, in addition to improving your Spanish you get the opportunity to become acquainted with different neighborhoods. Communication via WhatsApp is prompt and efficient. My teachers, Aline and Tess, were both energetic and well-informed guides to the language and the environs. The students were a diverse lot in age and origin, and everybody contributed to fun and productive classes. Do remember to submit your evaluation test a week in advance!

Experiencia fantástica: I took this class for 3 weeks with Tessa and it was awesome! She was always energetic and really helped me improve my Spanish. She is such a good teacher, always making things clear while giving the class fun, unique, and effective practice exercises. Additionally, we went to some awesome places like this cool market in Coyocoan. I highly recommend Tessa and WalkSpanish as a whole and I hope I can return soon!
