Experiencia fantástica: Spent 5 days learning at Tu Mundo school in February. It is a small, intimate learning environment where the teachers can really hone in on you and your specific needs. Carmilo and Lupita are the BEST - really skilled teachers who are more than friendly but also don’t let you off the hook when you make mistakes! I gained so much confidence in just 5 days with them; I wish I could have stayed for more. Plus, the coffee is good :)

It has a very welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere, which made both us and our children (aged 10 and 7) feel comfortable and motivated. Our children especially loved the interactive classes and age-appropriate activities. Experiencia fantástica: I just wanted to do some Spanish lessons for the few days I was in San Cristobal de Las Casas, and they were so accommodating. I could do whenever day/ time I wanted. My teacher was Lupita, she was so lovely and we just had interesting conversations and she would help me learn the words and phrases I needed for travelling. Highly recommend!

I also really appreciated the school's flexibility, allowing me to take classes on weekends, and pretty much anytime from 8am to 6pm.

Experiencia fantástica: I decided to take the language course very spontaneously, and everything worked really well. Communication over WhatsApp was fast and easy, and I was even able to start the course on the weekend. My teachers were fantastic - knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. I learned a lot in a short time, thanks the great mix of grammar, exercises and conversation. I also got to learn a lot about San Cristóbal and life in Mexico. I can really recommend this language school– it’s a great place to learn Spanish in a nice and relaxed environment!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent 9 days studying at EL Mundo and I found it to be such a great experience all around. Rolando was so welcoming and u felt at home as soon as I stepped in the door. My teachers, Lupita and Camilo were very warm, engaging and skilled teachers. I also learned about the culture of San Cristobal in my classes. Being at El Mundo also gave me a sense of purpose and place during my time in San Cris. I can highly recommend El Mundo and I personally hope to return in the fall.

Tu Mundo is the exact kind of Spanish school I love. A small, family run business. Extremely attentive and flexible staff. Conversation and grammar classes. I had classes with Lupita, Fernando, and Kamilo. I had classes 6 hours a day for 5 days. They are super flexible and accommodating. I love being part of a little community. Fernando is a gifted teacher and one of the best teachers Ive had in Mexico. I love the way he presents information. The people I met there had also done online classes with the team and raved about it too. I researched all the schools in San Cris and met lots of people who went to other schools. I’m so glad I chose Tu Mundo. Hope to return one day!

Experiencia fantástica: I have had a wonderful experience at Tu Mundo Spanish School. I have 2 weeks of private classes for 4 hours per day with my teachers Lupita and Camilo. Both my teachers have been wonderful and very friendly and helpful, I have loved getting to know them and learning from them. I started as a complete beginner and believe my spanish has significantly improved during my time at the school, I was initially nervous about starting a completely new language but my experience here has helped me to gain confidence. I enjoy the format of 2 hrs grammar/vocab and 2 hrs conversation, so that I practice both my writing and speaking skills. I definitely recommend it :)

Experiencia fantástica: I have been taking online Spanish lessons for 4 months now with Tu Mundo and they are incredible. The care with which they conduct their lessons is amazing and they are always eager to modify the lessons to accommodate any specific requests. For example, I started a retail job and we were able to spend a lesson on common phrases and vocabulary that I can use with Spanish speakers at work! Lupita and Fernando are excellent teachers, and are so knowledgeable, personable, and kind. Experiencia fantástica: I just finished two weeks of Spanish classes and I am surprised at how far I have come! The instructors were very nice and encouraging. The lessons were well structured and there is lots of emphasis on conversation. The school is small and the classes felt personalized because of that. It is a great way to spend some time in San Cristobal!

Very friendly, helpfull and flexible. I had a lot of fun learning Spanish. And it really helped me get a good foundation and to start my first interactions with locals in shops, on the street etc. The lessons are tailor made to your wishes and your needs to take a next step in becoming a good/fluent Spanish speaker. Experiencia fantástica: I recently spent a month studying at Tu Mundo, taking private lessons 4 days a week. I had an incredible time learning at this school and can’t recommend it enough. Rolando was very responsive from my first inquiry all the way through my final lesson, and was flexible in working with me to schedule my lessons on days and times I was available. The school is easy to find and in a very convenient location within a ten minute walk from most of the central area of San Cris. My lessons were very helpful and the teachers adjusted easily to my level and provided appropriate topics and material. The classrooms were also comfortable and easy to study in without feeling too formal or distant. Overall, I’m so glad I chose Tu Mundo for my lessons. In addition to the classes themselves, the staff and teachers have many recommendations and information about San Cris and nearby areas, and were very generous in providing advice and help in visiting places. I had 3 different teachers (Fernando, Camillo and Lupita) with everyone i did different topics. also Rolando helps you a lot with coordinating the classes that you can still attend tours around chiapas. I will definitely continue online and come at some point back to this place :)

Experiencia fantástica: I took both online Spanish and in person lessons with Tu Mundo in San Cristobal. The instructors are very knowledgeable and are happy to work on a personal plan depending on your needs. The school is small and family run by Rolando & Lupita who are very welcoming and professional while at the same time providing an intimate and personalized experience. I plan to continue with some online lessons once I’m back home to keep practicing what I learned. San Cristobal is an amazing town/small city and I could have easily spent more than 2 weeks there. I highly recommend the experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend Tu Mundo Language School with flying colors!! I had a FABULOUS experience working with Rolando, the director, and the teachers Lupita, Fernando and Valeria! I stayed in San Cristóbal de las Casas for 7 weeks during the summer and took individual classes Monday-Friday 9am-2pm. I had 3 hours of lessons concentrated around conversation and 2 hours of lessons that focused on grammar. The classrooms were comfortable, and when it was good weather, a garden classroom was available. I took online classes with Tu Mundo for one month prior to my arrival, which allowed the teachers to get to know me so they could tailor my learning experience with my skill level. We had fun in the lessons each day and the teachers weaved in local history and culture into my learning as well. These lessons really took my Spanish-speaking and comprehension to a place I never thought possible! I can now have conversations in Spanish without stumbling for words or trying to figure out which verb conjugation to use. I made real friendships with the teachers there and they will always have a special place in my heart. In addition to the classes, they have a homestay option, which I highly recommend. The host, Flory, and her dog, Chispa, were a dynamic duo and so much fun to stay with. The house is beautiful and has five bedrooms for students, multiple bathrooms, and a garden. The Mexican cooking, conversation (Spanish only) and companionship from Flory, and the friends I made with the other students, enhanced my experience greatly. The other students were at various places in their Spanish language journey, so don’t be intimidated if you don’t know too much Spanish! From the start, when I sent my inquiry email to Rolando, until the end of my stay, Rolando was always attentive to my needs. He helped me set up tours with reputable tour companies to see the highlights of the state of Chiapas: el Canyon del Sumidero, Agua Azul, Cascadas Chiflon, Palenque archeological site, Lagos de Montebello, and more! We also had a school tour to the nearby indigenous towns of Zinacantan and San Juan Chamula, too! San Cristóbal is a beautiful city and a perfect place to stay and take Spanish classes! The pedestrian walking street is loaded with hip and trendy stores and restaurants, but don’t forget to go outside of the touristy area to find delicious local dives. It is a very walkable city, but you can also take the local “collectivos” or a cab very easily. The town center boasts a historic cathedral from the 1500s and it’s a lively place at night often with music, dancing, and people selling artisan products. There are multiple museums, the best one in my opinion is the Centro de Textiles del Mundo Maya, a state of the art museum, displaying hand woven textiles from different indigenous groups around southern Mexico and Guatemala. There are also many nature and sports activities to do including trail running, hiking, cave exploration, and more. The beautiful SEDEM (sports complex) is a great place to exercise at any time of the day with a regulation track, a crushed gravel nature track, basketball courts, soccer fields and more. There are many churches, cathedrals, and museums to explore in this little town. I found a CrossFit gym that I loved and some of my housemates took yoga and dance classes nearby, too. I cannot wait to go back to the beautiful town of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, and to see my Mexican family again!

I came in with a very unsystematic understanding of grammar and needing practice with that and with speaking and listening. By the end my grasp of grammar had greatly improved and I felt a lot more comfortable in conversation both in and out of school.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful experience! Rolando accommodated my schedule, as I could only do weekends, and I learned so much grammar from Lupita in a short time. I also got to practice conversation with a variety of teachers, who all had different topics, so it never got old. Tu Mundo is the perfect mix of professionalism, hospitality and friendliness and goes above and beyond to ensure you are delighted with your learning and San Cristobal experience. After my single week of learning here it feels like I have made significant progress with my Spanish. Rolando is a wonderful, benevolent host who was patient and accommodating with all my questions before and during my time in the school. He checked in regularly to make sure I was more than happy with my learning and homestay. Lupita and Alisson are fabulous teachers who work together to ensure grammar concepts and conversational fluency are going hand-in-hand. I loved the split of lesson time between grammar and conversation as I need to understand and see grammar concepts laid out in order to properly absorb and then use them. Flory is a welcoming, hospitable and accommodating homestay host who strikes a wonderful balance between socialising and down time. Her cooking is amazing and her rooms have the comforts of desks, clothes hangers and side tables which I thoroughly enjoyed after 7 months of hostel dorms. Muchas gracias por todo Tu Mundo! To my delight, the answers came right away. flexible and up to date. I found the well-located school, with attractive entrance and was soon with the intake person who clearly checked my intentions. Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend! Deciding to take a class here was a great idea. It was 3 hours a day but it definitely helped me jump start my Spanish Learning. I took 1-on-1 classes with Lupita for learning grammar and Gaby for conversation practice. They were both great teachers and they made the classes engaging and effective. I took a week of classes and with each class I had more confidence to speak at the stores, street vendors, laundromat, restaurants, and have some small talk with strangers. During the conversation section I was able to ask about tips and phrases related to things I wanted to do in the city so that was very helpful. The whole experience from getting information about the class to the care and attention from the teachers was excellent! Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a brilliant time learning Spanish at Tu Mundo and would reccomend the school to anyone! I took the 15hr 1-1 intensive as a beginner, and it has been invaluable in kick starting my learning. I now have a good grounding in grammar and am able to have basic conversations in Spanish, and will keep getting better with practice. The teachers are highly skilled and genuinely lovely people who create a really friendly and relaxed learning environment. They offer some free excursions which are fantastic!

Experiencia fantástica: Couldnt recommend Tu Mundo language school highly enough. Myself and my partner did a week of Spanish classes at this school. We are both at a beginner level and the lessons were perfect for us. All the teachers were highly professional, welcoming and the lessons we had were well suited to our spanish lessons. Our teachers often shifted the topic of the lessons around what questions we had etc. The school has good facilities (yo can do classes inside and outside) and they have free coffee and tea available. 5/5 experience!

I spent three weeks in Tu Mundo school learning Spanish from the very beginning - just for the sake of it, why not learn something new on your way to Mexican ancient sites? And it really turned out to be great! I just loved the way Lupita taught me Spanish from scratch, now I know some words besides "Hola" and "Cuanto cuesta". After three weeks of Spanish in Tu Mundo I can actually have a conversation! I'm really going to continue learning Spanish once I'm back in the US. Thanks for the immense inspiration, guys! Experiencia fantástica: Great school to learn Spanish! I went here for a 1-1 intensive course for 20 hours in a week. It’s a great start for my travels through central and South America. They work in a good structure and have great knowledgeable teachers. They speak Spanish to you but you can ask questions in English, which for me as a beginner, was very helpful. I will put the gained knowledge to the test now and continue my journey understanding more and more people on the way! Thank you very much Lupita, Rolando and Valeria

Experiencia fantástica: My fiancé and I took a total of 3 weeks of Spanish classes at Tu Mundo Spanish School. We loved the experience! The teachers are knowledgeable, prepared, and friendly. The prices were reasonable and we both learned a lot! The school was also very flexible with our schedules, which was a huge bonus. We came out of this experience with more Spanish knowledge and new friendships!

Experiencia fantástica: I have found the best way to improve my Spanish is a flexible and personally tailored 1 on 1 environment where personal questions are answered. Tu Mundo was exactly that and an excellent choice for Spanish lessons in San Cris. Competitive prices as well. Small but adequate facilities with free coffee and tea. Experiencia fantástica: My experience at Tu Mundo exceeded my expectations. Rolando warmly welcomed me, and the teachers were very good and professional. The classes were well-structured, and while learning, I had very interesting discussions with Lupita and Fernando. Everyone at the school was friendly and caring. I also had the chance to have a homestay at Flory’s house, which I highly recommend! Flory is an amazing woman with a big heart. We shared beautiful moments together, which also allowed me to practice my Spanish (and additionally, she cooks really well!). In just one week, I felt that my Spanish had greatly improved, much more than I had hoped for. The school is also flexible; when my week of classes ended, I wanted more, so I asked if I could take two more days, and they agreed. When I return to Canada, I think I will continue taking online classes with them. Thank you for everything!!! :)

The host Rolando is always welcoming you with a genuine interest and a smile. The teacher Lupita teaches in an engaging and fun way. Balancing grammar, practice and casual conversation to keep it light. The classes are structured in a way that you can easily comprehend the most important concepts and progress quickly. Lastly, the school is flexible and thinks along with your desires to give you an optimal experience!

Experiencia fantástica: Great language school with friendly and fun teachers. We had lessons from two teachers and we absolutely loved Lupita! She challenged us and thanks to her we achieved a higher level in our Spanish. They organise weekly events too, to interact with other students and put our teaching into practise! Vale la pena!!

Experiencia fantástica: Mon expérience à l'école "Tu Mundo" à San Cristobal a été absolument incroyable. Ma professeure, Lupita, était tout simplement excellente. En seulement deux semaines, j'ai l'impression d'avoir appris plus qu'en cinq ans de cours de LV2 en France. On ressent une telle passion pour l'enseignement chez elle, et son approche pédagogique est véritablement efficace. L'ambiance à l'école est tellement chaleureuse que l'on a du mal à partir à la fin des cours. C'est un endroit où l'on ne fait que prolonger notre apprentissage parce qu'on se sent vraiment immergé dans la langue et la culture espagnole. Gracias, Tu Mundo

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent teachers - very qualified, fun, patient, helpful, etc. Also, they were flexible with allowing me to attend whichever days and however many hours worked best for me. Also, I really enjoyed the social aspect and meeting other students…we had a fun party one night with all the classes together. I definitely recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: Everything was perfect with these guys from the very beginning, I got a very prompt email response from Rolando about organizing classes and before I knew it I was booked in for the following week. The teachers are so very helpful, patient and understanding, they are very flexible with lesson times and adapt to your skill level but also never let you speak your mother tongue while you're there if they can help it which helps in being totally immersed in Spanish and is a great way to learn! From reading the reviews it was pretty obvious id come away from Tu Mundo having advanced my Spanish skills, which I did significantly! Experiencia fantástica: Learning Spanish at Tu mundo was a wonderful experience for me. I had 4 hours of private Spanish lessons with 3 different teachers for 2 weeks. All teachers were very friendly and we talked about a variety of topics. I enjoyed it very much! I learned vocabulary, grammar and conversation. If I had stayed longer, I would have been able to speak Spanish more fluently. I really did not want to leave. I want to come back to this school and continue my studies. 本当に素晴らしい学校なので、皆さんにおすすめします！私はたまたま日本人の生徒さんと一緒になって、一緒にランチをしたりして楽しい時間を過ごしました。アメリカ人やオーストラリア人の生徒さんとも仲良くなりました。とてもアットホームで素敵な雰囲気の学校ですよ！

Experiencia fantástica: I took classes at tu mundo for 4 weeks. It was a great experience. The teachers were very professional and kind, I learned a lot; and the school went above and beyond in helping me feel comfortable and helping me with various issues I had while traveling (navigating tourist sites, sickness, chasing down UPS drivers) Would highly recommend to any level of Spanish looking to experience San Cris.

They seem to figure out easily how we each learn, making for the best improvement. I plan to continue with them, as there is always so much to learn, about the language, and the culture!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Muchas gracias a los maestros y oficina de la escuela "tu mundo" por todas las facilidades en tiempo para que mi hijo estudiara seis semanas. Mi hijo está muy feliz porque algunas veces práctico su Inglés de manera directa con los hablantes nativos de otro país. Es una excelente escuela la recomiendo mucho.

Experiencia fantástica: First day when I stepped in the class I knew some words in Spanish and couldn’t really put even these together. Two weeks later we were having long conversations and suddenly I realized that I’m speaking Spanish. It felt good! They know what they do and how to make you speak in a ways that I can’t really understand. And that only confirms that they truly have a gift in what they do. They have valuable experience and you can see how they give their best so that you truly could learn quickly and effectively. Very professional school and team. Claro que uso diccionario (y a veces mi esposo :) ) pero me encanta mucho que ahora puedo entender mucho más! También estudié inglés aquí! Necesitaba más práctica y aquí todo fue posible. Experiencia fantástica: Es lo mejor que se puede encontrar en SanCris. El programa de educación combina el plan de estudios con sus solicitudes, sin clases aburridas. Excelentes profesores, actitud humana, enfoque individual y atención a cada detalle - de hecho, es difícil expresar con palabras toda la gama de emociones que recibí mientras estudiaba en la escuela. Aquí no solo encontré una excelente escuela con gente llena de energía e inspiración - encontré amigos, y fue gracias a la escuela que literalmente me enamoré de la ciudad. Entonces, si todavía están eligiendo el mejor lugar para aprender español, te diré que aquí no hay nada que pensar - esto es Tu Mundo.

Experiencia fantástica: Ich habe sehr spontan entschieden mein Spanisch verbessern zu wollen und habe per Whatsapp innerhalb kürzester Zeit eine positive Antwort erhalten. Die Schule ist gut ausgestattet und alle Lehrpersonen sind äusserst nett. Besonders möchte ich betonen, dass auf meine Bedürfnisse sehr gut eingegangen wurde. Muchas gracias!
