Experiencia fantástica: I studied at Chantico for two weeks and had an incredible experience! Paco, the owner/director, is wonderful! He organized everything for me very quickly. I had decided to come to Queretero very last minute, but he managed to set me up with my teacher and homestay in no time and also retrieved me from the airport at 10PM, which made me feel safe in my new city. He was super communicative and attentive to all my needs. I stayed with two homestays during my time, and they were like my mothers away from home. Paco has a great network of loving families around the city. My teacher was excellent! I already speak high intermediate/low advanced Spanish so I wanted someone who could push me to the next level. I was also an ESL teacher for 10 years, so I have very high expectations. Andrea met and exceeded those expectations. She had a deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, plus she used a variety of modalities to support my learning. It was clear she was experienced, professional and cared about her work. Her clases were pedagogically sound. This is exactly what I was looking for in a teacher. I wish I could have stayed longer, but i had other traveling to do! I highly recommend studying at Chantico. Queretero is also a beautiful city with a walkable historic center. I managed to visit almost all the museums in the afternoons and did my lessons in the morning. There’s lot to do in the city but you can also take day trips or weekend trips. San Miguel de Allende was my favorite and very accessible by bus! Come to Chantico if you want to study Spanish. I guarantee you’ll love it!

Experiencia fantástica: I considered three other schools before choosing Chantico. The staff are so friendly and Paco is very helpful with information about Queretaro, the school, and so forth. My teacher was wonderful, competent, funny, and so full of information. I really enjoyed my classes here. I will probably take more in the fall, but I decided to take a break and review everything I have learned the last five months. You will not make a mistake enrolling here.

Experiencia fantástica: Being from America, I realized that I needed professional help to learn Spanish and assimilate into our new country. I was fortunate to find Chantico Spanish School. Their website was clear and easy to understand. They offer several different methodologies for learning and I selected private lessons. We contacted them through WhatsApp and they were immediately and consistently responsive. Before I went to the school and even learned one word, I was impressed by their customer service and kindness. They also had a seamless method for coordinating payment - very simple and straightforward. I was greeted warmly upon my first visit in person. I had been given an online assessment beforehand so they already knew my needs. I was paired with a wonderful professional (maestra Andrea) and she has been working with me since. She is thorough with her explanations and she is patient with my level of learning. She takes excellent notes on the whiteboard, provides me with paper handouts and I also have a book. She allows me to interrupt when I have questions and she always spends time ensuring they are answered to my satisfaction. Experiencia fantástica: Chantico Spanish School has been perfect for me! It was super easy to sign up and get started with my private classes with Nancy. Francisco sent me quick assessment test to see where I needed start, followed by a confirmation assessment in person with Nancy. My private classes have been specifically designed for my learning pace and speaking level. Nancy is amazing! She is helpful, patient, and so encouraging. Everyone at the school is extremely kind and helpful as I learn to speak correctly, offering guidance and constructive feedback during conversations so that I will feel confident when I’m out in social settings! I highly recommend Chantico - they’re the best!

Experiencia fantástica: I just spent the most amazing week in Querétaro learning Spanish! I had private lessons for four hours each day with Carmen, who is a terrific teacher. I've been a classroom teacher for 43 years, so I'm afraid I'm very critical of other instructors, especially those who teach out of a book page-by-page. Carmen, who speaks fluent English, was very flexible and allowed me to ask questions and go at my own speed, sometimes outside the official curriculum. Frankly, it was one of the best educational experiences I've ever had, and I'm kind of a profession student. As to the school, Francisco went above-and-beyond in taking care of my needs, checking on me every day to see if I needed anything. I once got lost, for example, and he directed me to my destination when Google Maps failed me. And what other business owner would pick up a client at 4:30am to take him to the airport?! I also have to praise my Mexican hostess - Martha. I stayed ten minutes away from the school in the heart of Querétaro in her beautiful home, and she fed me as if I were one of her sons. Honestly, her authentic food was better than anything I've had in the nicest Mexican restaurants in Denver. In short, I feel guilty only being able to give Chantico at PLI five stars!

Experiencia fantástica: I am taking Spanish classes at Chantico Spanish School at PLI for more than 2 months now and I can really recommend it to everyone. Paco (the owner of the school) is really nice and always listens to you if you have any problems. Also besides your classes, he helps you to find a doctor, gives you recommendations etc. He understands how hard it can be to live in another country and gives you the best support to get adjusted. The Spanish classes are really really good as well. At the beginning I could barely speak Spanish, now I can already have a longer conversation. The book the school provides gives really good guidance and you follow a clear path. Last but not least, Taco Tuesday is my favourite day of the week. There Paco organizes Tacos which are so delicious. It‘s been a really amazing journey at this school so far and I will keep learning Spanish at this school.

Experiencia fantástica: As someone who has studied in many language schools before, I can be rather picky. That being said, Chantico more than exceeded my expectations! The entire staff were friendly and competent. Kudos to the director of the school, who was so responsive that one wonders if he ever sleeps. Many thanks to my teacher, Andy, who put together quality lessons expertly covering both language and culture. My host mom, Doña Sara, was always a delight and welcomed me whole-heartedly into her house -- Nothing felt transactional about the relationship (which cannot be said about some other programs I've attended in the past). 6 stars out of 5.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an incredible month learning Spanish at PLI. Not only were my private classes well organized and tailored to the specific area that I wanted to focus on, but my instructor Faby was super nice, patient and fun to talk to. Everyone that works at PLI has great energy and I immediately felt taken care of by the school’s director, Paco—it was as if I was part of the family. And of course… me encanta Taco Tuesday! I would highly recommend this school for any visitors wanting to learn the language and meet great people.

Experiencia fantástica: I left a review over a year ago when I was about six months into classes, but now that I’ve been regularly attending Chantico for about a year and a half, I wanted to update it and reiterate my support. What’s made the biggest difference for me is the consistency. Andrea has been my teacher the entire time, and having that continuity has mattered a lot. Working with the same instructor over the long term has helped me gradually build confidence and actually use Spanish more naturally in my day-to-day life here in Mexico. I’m really glad I chose Chantico and would absolutely recommend it to anyone who’s serious about learning Spanish.

The staff and instructors go above and beyond to teach me as an absolute beginner. I am gaining insight into the language and culture of the region through instruction and field trips! He provided a wonderful teacher , Nancy, to me for one-on-one intensive instruction. I learned so much. We worked with the official A2 book but also spend a lot of time in conversation about all different subjects that interest me…Art, cooking, Mexican culture, travel etc. I enjoyed the school so much I’ll definitely be back!

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Querétaro for four weeks to take level 2 Spanish at Chantico Español. I went to school for four hours a day, five days a week. Studying one-on-one with my teacher exceeded my expectations. It’s a much faster way to learn than in a group class. I asked for what I needed and no time was wasted. The facility was comfortable and each room is equipped with a big screen to make use of internet tools. Visiting Mexico gets more fun the more I am able to talk with local people. Francisco Ferrer runs the school, teaches English, and keeps an eye on the wellbeing of the students. We knew he was there for us if we needed help. He brought us tacos on Tuesdays and offered a fun day trip to Bernal one weekend. I elected a home stay and although there was an initial glitch, it turned out to be a super comfortable and valuable experience. The home was on a lovely street in the Centro. My host was kind, generous and flexible. We became very fond of one another’s company and shared many good laughs. She cooked for us as well. I really encourage family stays to make the most of immersion. You become infused into the community that way. Querétaro is a big city but the center feels like a smaller town. I had a friend with me for half of my four weeks and was on my own the other half. We visited most of the museums and parks in town in the afternoons and sampled a good many fine restaurants, bakeries, and book stores. We walked everywhere and always felt safe. We frequently discovered concerts or other entertainment from just walking in the Centro. I am continuing to work with my teacher online through Chantico. It keeps some of my Queretaro experience alive and certainly keeps my Spanish skills actively growing.

Experiencia fantástica: I am an upper intermediate spanish speaker and spent 3 weeks full time at this school last August to be one in ine with a marvelous Profesora, Andrea Sanchez! I spent 112 hours one on one with her. My goal as to improve my Spanish. I highly recommend this Language Institute! The Director is Francisco ( Paco) and he is fantastic and I am so happy now to be able to call him my amigo!

Experiencia positiva: Learned Spanish here for month, the people are teachers are great! I was taught a lot of grammar and Mexican history. However, I don't recommend studying here if you are a young person looking to do group classes or find other people learning Spanish.

Experiencia negativa: I withheld from leaving a negative review for TWO months. Facebook, Skype, Email, two Whatsapp numbers, two Instagram accounts – no matter where I contacted them, I got one inconclusive response and none followed thereafter. No communication, no cooperation whatsoever.

Experiencia fantástica: My husband and I were looking to improve our Spanish after moving to Queretaro, but our schedule/work was very unpredictable at times. However the director and the teachers were very helpful and accomodating, not only with adjusting the schedule, but adapting the program and classes to the material that best suited our needs. In addtion to being a professional school that is willing to adapt and help you with your academic/language goals, Paco, the director of the school, is also willing to help people navigate any other aspect of life in Queretaro, and Mexico and provide contacts, advice and resources. We are truly grateful to have found this amazing school, and look forward to taking more classes in the future!

Experiencia fantástica: I can’t say enough positive things about my time at Chantico. I was there for 2 months taking classes and working remotely. From the moment I stepped off the plane Paco was there to great me and help me check in to my apartment. He constantly checked in with me to see how I was doing and was always there when I needed him. I felt like I was home and part of a family the whole time. My teacher, Andrea, was phenomenal. Incredibly prepared, well thought out lesson plans and tailored the learning to both my needs and my learning style. She was incredibly perceptive and could tell when I was struggling and adjusted the lesson based on my needs. There was also a lot of class time on the culture and community of Mexico which I loved. My español progressed very quickly and by the end of my time there I could have real conversations with native speakers. We even took field trips to local markets and museums. Paco also took me on excursions to San Miguel Allende and Bernal which were incredible. Great experiences and great food every time. My favorite time of my trip was in the classroom and spending time with Paco on the excursions. I will be continuing my classes online and plan to come back as soon as possible for more. If you are considering a school this should be your top choice. They have a lifelong student in me. Mil gracias Paco y Andrea! Volveré pronto! Update 3/10/25: I have been taking classes with Chantico for a little over a year now and my español has improved dramatically. They have an amazing culture and very interesting students. Paco has always been there for me in difficult situations and Andy is the best teacher I’ve ever had in my life in any subject. If you’re interested in learning español look no further.

Experiencia fantástica: From the first moment I contacted Chantico Spanish School to set up lessons, Paco was prompt to respond, professional and friendly. He listened to the description of what I was looking for and then arranged my classes with Lucy. Lucy was excellent at focusing on sharing Mexican culture with me, and my Spanish progressed through her presentations and our conversations about life in Mexico, cuisine and celebrations. Everyone at Chantico is welcoming, patient and professional. The staff works hard to prepare appropriate coursework for each student. The school is close to the center of the city and the classrooms are well appointed. Chantico is a great place to study Spanish!

Experiencia fantástica: Took 4 weeks of spanish classes with my teacher, Andrea, starting at an B1/intermediate level and had a great experience. We spoke only in Spanish for each class period, aside from translating new words, which really helped me get more practiced and confident while speaking. Andy was incredibly patient, providing engaging powerpoints on history and culture, worksheets to practice new verb forms, and other fun activities. She was always encouraging and took the time to correct any errors I made or explain anything that didn't make sense. I was able to improve my spanish skills tremendously over a month period and am very grateful to all the kind and helpful people at Chantico.

Experiencia fantástica: Wow, where to start with Chantico. What a wonderful experience! Paco, the owner of the school, is the most incredible and gracious person and does everything he can to make your stay great. I came for one week to improve my Spanish for work, and he picked me up at the airport, took me on a wonderful excursion to Bernal, and made sure I was as comfortable as could be. I'm at a pretty advanced level of Spanish and when one of his teachers didn't have the exact experience I felt I needed to help me, he immediately scheduled my classes with another teacher. Andrea, my teacher, was simply incredible. She knows all the rules of Spanish and clearly enjoys teaching - when I had a question she didn't know the answer to (a lot about subjunctive), she spent her free time figuring out how to respond to my answer. 100% recommend her. Queretaro is also an underrated city with a beautiful history and there are certainly many places to explore. But perhaps the best part of my time was my home stay with an incredibly wonderful and funny woman named Marta. She was a second mom to me, an incredible cook, and just an amazingly warm person. Her house is gorgeous and her pets are the best. She also only speaks Spanish, which is great for practicing. Definitely stay with her if you can!! I can't say enough good things about Chantico. I will for sure be back to see all my new friends and will continue taking classes online with Andrea. Thank you Paco and everyone at Chantico!

Experiencia fantástica: I enjoyed working with the good folks at Chantico Spanish School. They are warm and friendly. I enjoyed Francisco, Andy and Dani very much. Francisco coordinated my classes with an excellent teacher. My teacher, Andy, came very prepared to assist me to "fill-in the blanks" in my language education. When I asked questions, Andy took the time to explain. We took a few "rabbit-trails" long the way, we laughed a lot, but Andy would steered us back to the lesson plan. I am a visual learner, so I found it very helpful when Andy would write things out or draw on the board or pull up images or videos on the computer to demonstrate a concept. There was a interruption in my ability to attend classes in Querétaro, during the last few scheduled days. So, Francisco and Andy coordinated with me to complete the missed class time in a remote class situation, over the internet. In this scenario, Andy again used the graphical tools from her computer to provide excellent language training. I was challenged for sure, but I was also encouraged all along the way. Whether you travel to beautiful México to attend classes in-person or your conduct classes remotely, from the comfort of your own home, I would strongly recommend Chantico Spanish School.

Experiencia fantástica: I had been taking Spanish lessons with an online tutor and had made good progress, but I wanted to make more progress more quickly, and I found Chantico PLI's programs in Querétaro. I chose the El Monolito, which is one month (28 days) of individual Spanish lessons, 4 hours each Monday through Friday, and also includes lodging and meals in a local home. I was provided with a very nice, large bedroom to myself and run of the house. The accommodations were a 10-minute walk from the school. The best part of the trip was, of course, the lessons. Andrea was my teacher. I found her to be an excellent teacher, and I learned a lot in my month with her. She made the lessons engaging and enjoyable. I would highly recommend her as a teacher. In addition, the owner is highly engaged in the process and is helpful in every way. He also took me on side trips to San Miguel de Allende and Bernal. At least for the month of August, 2024, the weather in Querétaro was perfect. Low 80’s during the day, upper 60’s at night. All in all, I would highly recommend the complete learning experience at Chantico PLI.

The School Director, Paco Ferrer, was very welcoming and helpful with communication before and during my time in Queretaro and my Spanish Teacher was outstanding in every way. She met me where I was with my Spanish and help me build my knowledge, skills and confidence in the language. Most of all, she inspired me to want to keep learning and practicing Spanish. It was a wonderful experience in every way!

Evelyn did a great job catering lessons to the topics where I needed help and areas related to my internship. The school is a friendly environment and Paco organizes events for visiting students to explore the state. Highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Chantico is a great place for a Soanish language learner seeking an individualized language learning experience. My Soanish is already advanced and they designed a program with my goals in my mind. The director Paco is super helpful and will do anything to ensure that you have a good experience in Querétaro. He arranged a home stay for me, which was one of the highlights of my time there. My teacher Claudia designed a course of study specifically for me and came prepared with something different and interesting every day. She took her teaching very seriously and was super nice. My homework assignments were helpful and challenging and designed specifically to help me reach my learning goals. Querétaro itself is a great place to study Spanish. The city is beautiful with interesting museums and markets as well as great sites outside the city. It a a center of Mexican history and culture with the plenty of free or reasonably priced activities.

Experiencia fantástica: I highly recommend Chantico to anyone who wants to learn Spanish. I spent two weeks in Queretaro and did 35 hours of Spanish classes. My teacher, Andrea, was exceptional. She was professional, organized, endlessly patient, and compassionate. We worked hard but she also made it fun. I really appreciate that Andrea used many different teaching styles so our time together moved quickly. She also integrated information about Mexican culture and history. I learned a tremendous amount in a short time and now feel more committed than ever to continuing to learn Spanish. I also thoroughly enjoyed Queretaro. It’s a beautiful city with rich culture and amazing food. I highly recommend the whole experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I spent 10 weeks taking classes at Chantico and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. It is a tight knit group of skilled teachers, a comfortable enviornment and I most enjoyed the occasional outings we would take on the weekends. They recommended taking one on one classes, which at first I was reluctant about, but it ended up being the best method for me and I suspect most people going to learn a language. My teacher was professional, personable, took note of my interests and customized learning plans for me accordingly. What I loved most about the experience was our abililty to craft the direction of my learning to my needs and interests. Like all studies, your experience and learning will depend on your specific teacher and your relationship with them, but I found the school encouraged the student to be active in co-creating their own direction and learning plan. I was not a huge fan of the book used, but it is a sufficient springboard into learning the language. If you are at all interested in learning spanish in a fostering environment, I recommend you check out Chantico and their wonderful teachers.

Experiencia fantástica: I could not have asked for a better place to study Spanish for a month while in Mexico. I was assigned to a one-on-one class and my teacher was incredible. She worked hard every day to learn how to teach me best and designed instructional activities based on my interests and needs. The entire staff was kind and welcoming and the director of the school went above and beyond to make sure my experience was a good one (including arranging a day trip to San Miguel de Allende and a driver to take me to the airport). I was both challenged and encouraged during my time at PLI and can't wait to return to continue my Spanish learning!

They are also so kind and are truly empathetic people who deeply care about every single person that walks through the door. They want to help you in any way they can, even outside of class. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed, comfortable, and heard. Everyone truly cares about your experience and life even after you finish your classes. This was the truly highlight for me in Querétaro. Highly recommend!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I had a great time at Chantico! I took online Spanish classes weekly for 8 weeks about a year ago, and then was in person for 2 weeks. I had both online and in-person classes with Fer, who was great and put a lot into developing her own exercises and materials, and we also just talked a lot and listened to music in Spanish. We had a great time! Overall, it's super flexible to your needs and interests (you just book which hours you want to work with a teacher) and a very friendly group of people. They do run some weekend outings to different attractions in the area as well, to see more things and get to know the other students. I corresponded with Francisco beforehand and he was easy to work with. He made sure I knew where to go, what bus company to take, etc. When I arrived, he also picked me up from the bus station, and drop me off at the end. I wasn't expecting that but it was nice to be welcomed! The Centro Historico area right by the school is beautiful, walkable, safe, and full of interesting and tasty things. And Querétaro is a good-sized place, so whatever you need, they probably have it. I briefly did a homestay and enjoyed it, but I caught COVID shortly before arriving in Querétaro so quickly transferred to an Airbnb (in order not to infect my homestay host) and got refunded the nights I didn't stay. Francisco and Fer were both super accomodating and helpful when I had COVID--I didn't get very sick, but Francisco still delivered me groceries, checked in on how I was doing every day, and made sure I knew he would take me to a doctor if I needed to go. All super comforting when traveling alone in a new country where the medical systems, etc are different! Overall I really recommend Chantico and Querétaro!

Experiencia fantástica: Ich kann die Sprachschule wirklich jedem empfehlen, der in Queretaro ist oder plant nach Queretaro zu gehen. Ich besuche aktuell Montag bis Freitag 4 Stunden das Institut & es ist wundervoll !! Jenny, meine Lehrerin ist super, aber auch Francisco (Paco) und Dani sind einfach nur toll. Man fühlt sich hier wie zuhause & kann zudem wahnsinnig viel lernen. In den letzten 3 Wochen habe ich extrem viel lernen können und bin sehr gespannt wie viel ich noch lernen werde. Außerdem werden Ausflüge/Treffen veranstaltet um auch mit den anderen Schülern und Sprachlehrern in Austausch zu kommen und etwas über die Kultur und Mexiko zu lernen. Experiencia fantástica: I spent three weeks at PLI doing two hours of tutoring each weekday. It really helped me understand where I needed to focus and improved where I was. Andrea was a great tutor and Paco gives the school a sense of community. Despite being one-on-one with a tutor, I did meet other students and Paco organizes excursions on the weekends which also provides opportunities to meet/mingle. Most of the other students seemed to be ther for months (not weeks) and were in one-on-one situations (and all were happy btw). I highly recommend PLI if you are looking to improve your Spanish language skills.

The director, Francisco, and the entire team went above and beyond to ensure that my time at the school was not only educational but culturally immersive and like a home away from home. From the very beginning, the staff personally assisted me in getting acquainted with the area, providing valuable insights and recommendations that made my husband and I’s transition seamless. I temporarily didn’t have access to a refrigerator, so they provided me a cooler. I was unsure how recharge my TELCEL Sim card, so they came with me and walked me through the entire process. These are only few examples! Their dedication to ensuring students feel accommodated and supported is truly commendable. As for learning Español, I had the privilege of being taught by Carmen, an exceptional teacher whose patience and compassion made my learning journey both effective and enjoyable. Experiencia fantástica: Living in Querétaro and attending Chantico was the highlight of my summer. My teacher, Claudia, was super engaging with me. She made me laugh so much and taught me a lot of grammar and vocabulary. Claudia tried her best to make the class interesting by teaching me not just Spanish but also Mexican history and culture. Fransisco was extremely helpful when I got sick during my 2nd week there. He went with me to the doctor and checked up on me multiple times after to make sure I was okay. I’m missing Querétaro already.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with Chantico Spanish School was excellent. Even though it wasn’t like other Spanish schools with scheduled activities and lounges, it was a much more specialized one on one experience. My teacher, Andrea, is the best teacher I’ve ever had. I learned so much. My host family, also, was the best experience in Mexico. I was truly important to them, and I felt it. Francisco, the owner and director, was willing and able to provide a personalized and professional experience. I will return this summer and plan on continuing with online classes. I thank them for this great Christmas vacation where I learned Spanish and the Mexican culture will enjoying sunny days with my Mexican family.

Experiencia fantástica: I was in Querétaro for a month and took classes with Andi one on one for 2hrs M-F. Andi was very organized with a plan each day and ended with any questions and some homework assignment. She kept me engaged with questions requiring me to talk a lot while assessing my comprehension. She has the ability explain and use different techniques to help you understand. She uses her own material as well as a book and the internet and knows how to find material best suited for you to comprehend the subject for the day. I highly recommend this school!!

Experiencia fantástica: I can happily attest to the quality of instruction at Chantico Spanish School. I have taken classes from three other programs in Mexico and at Chantico, I received the best instruction of all! I just finished taking 3 weeks of 4 hours per day at Chantico and I had two teachers, Andy for grammar and culture, and Mariana for conversation. Both Andy and Mariana were top notch teachers and were able to explain concepts very clearly. Both were extremely well prepared with activities, themes, and supplies and they were friendly, patient, and fun! The four hours a day passed very quickly! Francisco, the director, was extremely helpful and allowed me to register last minute due to a change in our travel plans. My husband and I have traveled in Mexico before so we were fairly independent but I know that Francisco would be very willing to help you with his excellent English if you ran into any issues during your stay in Querétaro. Since I was travelling with my husband, I did not do the home stay portion but the students that I met were super pleased with their home stays and felt it was a great addition. We were able to attend one of the school excursions and had a fun day trip to San Miguel de Allende. I would also like to add that if you are wondering if you want to go to Querétaro the answer is YES! It is very clean, beautiful, safe, and friendly with so many great restaurants, interesting museums, and stunning architecture. Truthfully, we enjoyed Chantico and Querétaro so much that we are considering returning next winter.

Experiencia fantástica: I spent 9 days in Queretaro with this program, and I cannot recommend it enough! This was the best immersion program I have experienced in Mexico. The director, Francisco, is an amazing human being who not only made sure I was safe but also enjoyed my time to the fullest. He regularly checked in with me to see how I was doing and how my classes were. He also took us to nearby towns and attractions, and it was great spending time with him and friends while see more of this beautiful country! I stayed with the loveliest host mother, Martha. She was the best part of my trip! Her house is beautiful, her food was delicious, her pets were so precious, and she just brought so much joy to my stay there. We had interesting and fun conversations, which helped improve my Spanish. Her wonderful family also visited often, and they really embraced us (there was another student staying there). What a special experience. I will surely come back. Thank you to all at Chantico.

Experiencia fantástica: Spending a month in Mexico studying Spanish full time has been on my bucket list for a long time. I researched upwards of 20 different schools; in the end, I could not have chosen better. I received great instruction from my teacher, Evelyn, and impeccable support from the director, Francisco (Paco). Paco, in particular, made the experience excellent. He, in particular, facilitates all kinds of cultural exchanges between the Spanish-studying and English-studying local students, including, complimentary excursions. This school is undoubtedly more than a business for him - it is a labor of love...and it shows. I felt safe, looked after, and well prepared for the entire experience - inside and outside of school during my month in Queretaro. I could not recommend the school, the city, and this opportunity more. I am excited to continue virtually now that my month of studies have wrapped up.

Experiencia fantástica: My month of language class 5 days/week for 3 hours each day was beyond my expectations (my husband also took evening classes 2x a week). The teacher, Andrea, was excellent and extremely responsive to my learning styles. The staff, Paco & Dani, were helpful at every step and completely delightful. I couldn’t recommend Chantico more! So much gratitude for their assisting this very beginning yet want-to-be Spanish speaker (Pictures were taken both from the special birthday surprise from my teacher and one of the very fun day trips Paco hosted us on!)

Experiencia fantástica: Choosing to study at Chantico was one of the best decisions I have ever made. In total, I spent five weeks (2 hours a day Monday - Friday) in classes with my amazing teacher, Fer. During this time, I believe that I greatly improved my Spanish. Like any learning experience, it's hard work, but I found that each class was rewarding and Fer was more than willing to be flexible, patient, and accommodating whenever I needed to slow down or if I wanted to dive into a certain subject for long period of time. I took classes while working remotely, and the school was very accommodating of that as well. Beyond improving my Spanish, learning at Chantico was so special because, even if you take one-on-one lessons (like I did), there are so many opportunities to feel like you're in a community with other Spanish- and English-learning students. Francisco, the owner of the school, went out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and supported. He also did a great job of providing outside of class times to practice Spanish (during really cool field trips to nearby towns/cities!), and always pushed me to practice my Spanish whenever possible (which was greatly needed considering one of the principal reasons I wanted to visit Mexico was to get over my lack of confidence surrounding speaking Spanish). As a solo-traveler, having him and other students and teachers at the school whom I trusted was so appreciated. I made so many friends while visiting Queretaro, and I attribute that to choosing Chantico. If you're in Queretaro and looking to learn Spanish, make friends, and find community, I wholeheartedly suggest this school!

Experiencia fantástica: I spent three weeks taking intensive Spanish classes in October 2022 and it was an amazing experience! My teacher Kit was an absolute gem, perfectly adjusting the classes to my level. I had requested to only speak in Spanish and Kit was able to explain grammar points and vocabulary in simple Spanish, without ever using English which was perfect for immersion. I feel like I have improved greatly in these three weeks! Francisco, the director, is a really nice guy, always offering to help out with any practical matters during the stay. Also a shout out to Dani at the front desk :) Come here for your Spanish classes!

Experiencia fantástica: I very highly recommend this school. It really couldn't have been a better experience! I was a little worried about going alone to a foreign country where I didn't speak the language, but Francisco (the director) assured me that the school's philosophy is that they are there for you, and he and my teacher lived up to that in many ways. I chose to do the one month El Monolito package and it really did make everything easy. I received airport transportation (from Francisco), a wonderful homestay was arranged, and true to the school's motto, Francisco or my teacher, Kitzya, or my home stay mom, Martha, were all available to help me out, no matter what came up. My teacher, Kitzya, was really top notch. Very competent, but also fun. She had just the right balance of challenging us with traditional instruction and curriculum, and doing more entertaining styles of learning, including shopping and eating at the local Mercado. I had been concerned about 4 hours of class per day, but found it quite manageable. I'm amazed by how much my comprehension and ability to speak has improved. I think one of the best things about this school is the culture they cultivate. They really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, but also connected with everyone at the school, including teachers, students and staff. I have made wonderful friends through this school. I feel very grateful for my experience there.

Not only did the lessons help improvement my spanish comprehension, but I also learned much about Mexican history, culture, food, drink, etc. The classes really enhanced my experience while staying in Queretaro for several weeks. Experiencia fantástica: Francisco was very accommodating. If he weren't, I would not have been able to take immersion classes this year. Many schools have gone out of business across the country due to Covid. I took classes for two weeks. I wanted one week of private sessions in the classroom and the second week out in the field speaking to other people accompanied by the teacher. Francisco said yes to my requests which made my experience much better. He also helped me to navigate the buses and worked very close with me to find an airbnb to accommodate my stay. His customer service exceeded my expectations and he is quite charasmatic and friendly.

The director, Francisco, particularly went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met and to make me feel comfortable, not just at the school but in the city of Querétaro as a whole, from organising accommodation for me to taking me around some of the city's restaurants. I took private classes and learned so much over the two-week course (40 hours total) in a friendly and relaxed environment. I was also able to enjoy additional social events and excursions with staff and students. Overall, a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend.

I have been trying to learn on my own very casually for several years, but I did not improve very much. I have never taken a Spanish class before. My teacher was Andrea and she was SUPER! I am so grateful I decided to sign up for classes. I am more equipped and organized in my learning now. I have more confidence to continue and improve my speaking. Francisco views his new students as family and shows genuine hospitality. Another student and I had the pleasure to go on a road trip with him to San Miguel Allende as well. I cannot recommend this language school enough. Language learning is a lifetime process, and you are in great hands here to encourage the process and improve your abilities.

I truly believe you won’t find a better language learning experience than this. And what an experience it was! We were so surprised by how much Spanish we learned in such a short period of time. Language learning is fun here! And the cherry on top is the complimentary day trips to Queretaro’s Magic pueblos that Paco hosts you to. He goes out of his way to have you embrace and enjoy the culture and experience of what Queretaro and Mexico has to offer. Furthermore, Paco is one of the most genuine, generous people I’ve ever met. The teachers and facilities at the school are great but what makes it stand out to me is the special attention and support from Paco, the director of the school. He was there for me since before even arriving in Mexico, helping with all the questions/issues I had, etc, plus just making the experience special with things like bringing tacos to us in class, a cake on my birthday + some awesome day-trips to Bernal, San Miguel De Allende & Tequis. So nice to experience these places & hang out with some other students, etc. I studied at the school for 3 months, studying twice a week. I learned so much during that time and the whole experience was really fun. I can highly recommend this school, I think it would be hard to find a better learning experience in Mexico. (& Queretaro is a great city, you'll love it here).

Francisco, the Director, is very personable, and open to helping his students succeed in whichever way is best for them. Finding myself in lovely Querétaro for a month, and already having a fair grasp of the Spanish language from living and taking many classes in a different Latin American country (Ecuador), I had an unusual request. I approached Francisco with my desire for conversation practice rather than standard classes. Different countries within Latin America, and different areas within the same country, can have very different accents and even use different words and phrases, even while all in the same language. I was struggling in Mexico with this very concept, and wanted to improve my ability to converse more confidently there. I offered to help those learning English in exchange for help with my Spanish. Francisco was more than happy to help me, matching me with local adult students who wanted to practice their English while I practiced my Spanish, so we took turns conversing in both languages and learned a lot from one another while having fun in the process. I even joined him and his international students on visits to nearby towns on the weekends. My experience with Chantico was definitely a positive one, and I recommend stopping by to chat with Francisco on how he might help you meet your language goals as well.

Experiencia fantástica: Took one-on-one classes for a few months and really enjoyed them! My teacher, LuLu, was fantastic - so patient, helpful, and an all around lovely person. The classes were well structured and thought out. They have chosen good materials (I had a book, online portal, and homework!). Improved my Spanish to where I feel comfortable in everyday conversations. A little longer and I'd be able to write this whole thing in Spanish. :) The owner, Paco, is kind and professional. You can take in person classes (they are very careful with COVID) or online. I'm sad I can't continue since I'm moving, but if I decide to start classes again, I will be contacting Chantico to take them online. I'm glad I have the opportunity to do that vs. having to find a random online teacher I've never met. Thanks for everything, Chantico!

Experiencia fantástica: I can't say enough good things about Chantico. The staff are all really welcoming and encouraging (and patient, thank goodness!). My teacher was great and obviously put a lot of work into planning my classes, including incorporating material I specifically requested. In my opinion, they have created a really great environment to help folks overcome their shyness and start talking. On top of all that, Querétaro is a beautiful, friendly, historic city. After class you can wander into the city center and put all the Spanish you just learned to use Unfortunately, I was only in town for two weeks and I would have loved more time to go on an excursion or get to know other students and staff better. If you are thinking about going, I definitely recommend staying for longer.
